The index identifies places by latitude and longitude as well as by map page, and there's even a calendar from 1997-2000, conversion information on weights, measures, and temperature, and pages for addresses, travel notes, itineraries, and finances. All that would be fluff if the maps weren't so spectacular, but as it is, Traveler's World Atlas & Guide is the best travel atlas on the market.
