Summary: Beautifully rendered illustrations and easy to read text.
Review: Out of all of the world atlases we examined, this one, by far, was the easiest to look at and understand. The illustrations are not only beautifully rendered, they are big, clear and easy to see -- probably due to the fact that they are digitally produced. Plus, the text can be viewed without the use of reading glasses. As for size, the atlas is not cumbersome, as some can be, but easy to carry around. It also stays open on its own, something not always found in a hard-back book of this size. Further, it provides information typically found in an atlas, such as how to determine distances, without being overly detailed and boring. This is a book that becons one to open and explore!

Summary: Disappointing atlas: where is the world?
Review: Very disappointing atlas, it mainly portrays the US, while the rest of the world is neglected. The scale on US maps is 1 to 2,500 while for most of the world is 1 to 5,000 or 1 to 10,000. I really regret I bought it.
