Review: 3/08/03 Having purchased this as a 'used book' today ..though that makes events for "March 8th" a year late ..it is a prime example that the book is timeless e.g. 3/8/1902 actress Louise Beaver was born (her role in movie "Imitation of Life" won her high fame....3/8 is "Employee Appreciation Day".....3/8 is the birthday anniversary of author Kenneth Grahame(book "The Wind in the Willows")3/8/1913 the USA 's Internal Revenue Service began to levy and collect income taxes".....(this bits of trivia are incl of the many re people and places ) of the book which is published annually.

Review: As publisher of several newsletters and digests, I like to humanize them with tidbits about happy times.Chase's Calendar of Events has been my source for my 'Reasons To Celebrate,' ... It's also been a great resource for planning press releases and promotions to tie in with upcoming holidays. Oh yes, and it made it possible for me to create my very own holiday - Thanks for all the Gifts Week. ... I couldn't run my business without it. Well worth the small price for this encyclopedic resource.

Review: In this funny and usefull tool/reference work/ book, one can find all events on a certain day. For instance did you know that there is a a national ice cream day and that one should celebrate this on the third sunday of July. In here one can also find out the birthday for famous people and historical people, i.e., Johann Gregor Mendel, the famous botanist, was born Jully 22, 1822. It also has other things such as the aniversay of the assination attempt of Hitler and other event related items on a certain day of the year. Highly Recommended.
