Summary: Delightful travel stories!
Review: If you enjoy "armchair traveling", this book is for you. You will follow the author and her family on eleven different trips through Europe and the U.S. All of the stories will capture your imagination. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the unexpected events on some of their trips. The author has added a lot of her personal touches with the clever signposts at the end of each short story. It was fun to relate to some of them. I recommend this book for it's humor and ease in reading. If you want to "travel" quickly for thirty minutes or so, you'll enjoy this book.

Summary: How to enjoy our trip ! Maybe like this.
Review: It would be a wonderful text book for real travelers. I have reminded my trips only for relaxing with my wife. It shows different sides of world we have not experinced. Also, it could be a beautiful text book for parents. I believe her children have learned many ways of life through their travel with parent. It should be most important and valueble estate which parent can give for their children through their life.

Summary: Inspiration for Grandparents
Review: This is truly a delightful journey with Barbara Hauser, her husband and children. It inspires my wife and me to begin such trips with our own grandchldren, and even to take some sketchy notes. The stories are entertaining as well as informatiave, and the signposts are provoking and reflect a wealth of knowledge and understanding of human experience and emotion. Thank you Barbara Hauser for an inspiring journey...........................Alan S. Novick

Summary: The "best laid plans..." are just the beginning!
Review: Whether you are exploring a continent, crossing your neighborhood street, executing any "meticulous" plan...or traveling to San Gimignano, You have to change at Poggibonsi.

Barbara Hauser's intellectually witty, down to earth travel experiences with her husband and three sons (in the US, Italy, Holland, England, Japan and beyond) caused me to reflect on similar experiences. "Why do we travel?" Hauser suggests the many things we can learn in one or two sentence "Signposts" at the end of each short, descriptive adventure. Her husband's small sketches add to the fun. This is the book I wish I had written: thanks to Hauser for doing it! Treat yourself to a good read and Buon Viaggio!
