Summary: Don't buy this one!
Review: I have just gotten back from a wonderful trip to Barcelona. Unfortunately this particular guide was utterly useless. It mentioned everything in broad terms and gave no particular information for the traveler. It was a good thing that I happened to buy other travel guides before I left although in Barcelona along with newpaper stands everywhere they sold guidebooks. It seems that the most popular guide book is actually Eyewitness Travel Guides Barcelona and Catalonia. I had purchased the Eyewitness Travel Guide on Spain and found that even though the section on Barcelona was small it was extremely helpful with diagrams, descriptions and small easy to understand maps. This Michelin guide has listed only a very few restaurants in Barcelona which is quite disappointing since there are a gizillion very good ones. Overall, this guide gave a very broad overview and oversimplified what there is to see and do in Barcelona and is really not particularily useful for the traveler. Get a book that is more specific!

Summary: inadequate
Review: Insufficient information--but insufficient about just about everything it mentions. It lists only a dozen or so hotels (that don't appear in other guides--and in a city with maybe a thousand hotels). What happened to those reliable, informative and detailed guide books from the fat guy wearing the tires?
