Summary: No Longer The Happiest Place On Earth
Review: I've been buying Birnbaum's Official Guide to Disneyland since 1995. Every year it gets better and better, and I look forward to a new yearly copy. We go to Disneyland 3-4 times a year so I'm pretty familiar with what attractions to avoid at what times, or where to escape the rain, and when NOT to do your shopping. Every year they make some changes and give you some new tips, or add new attractions or restaruants. Even if it is "official" it's a great guide book and worth reading. There aren't too many bad things to say about Disneyland, so there isn't really a point to buying an "unofficial" guide. I've never been disappointed with any of Birnbaum's Official Guides to Disneyland. They are extremely helpful in planning your day or week at Disneyland

Summary: Not as much as I expected.
Review: The tips in the book were helpful, but I did expect more coupons. There were only 4 coupons, and I didn't need any of them. Would appreciate coupons from food places and a discount on daily entrance or 3-day entrance.

Summary: No Longer The Happiest Place On Earth
Review: This book is good for first timers but it seems to be more of an in-house publication than the others. It won't tell you that the Magic Kingdom Card is no longer good for single day admissions and construction of the California Experience is really hampering the park operations. You are in trouble when all you have to hype for yourself is a fireworks show. This book gives a lot of nice trivia but it is never as critical as it could be (older unofficial were better at this). It is never specific for age groups or too savvy at planning a day at Disneyland. However, it is good for first timers who want a feel for things.
