Summary: Price A+, Features A+, Size B-, Ease of Use A-, Modem A+
Review: Bought this unit and just started using it. Synchro is awesome with my computer...and it includes a modem... I couldn't find any other Palms with a modem for under $400. The writing recognition is good.... I am happy with this unit and would recommend this Philips product. Shop around...8MB and a modem beats the heck out of everything else I saw.

Summary: You cannot live without this Windows CE palmsize pc
Review: Ever since I first saw it at Comdex out here in las vegas this was the device to get. I had the very first one when they first came out and used them at my workplace (retail) where we also sold them.

Needless to say I used it every single day at work and at home...the Palm-size PC with windows ce offers endless possibilities. In fact it will take you weeks if not months to discover all the options you can do with it (that's the fun...a new discovery every day). It will make your life easier by organizing it like you have never seen before.

The NINO 319 even offers a clip on modem...wow...how can you do any worse? It's at a great price (I paid a heckofalot more than that for less) and this means:

-You can connect to the internet and get email or surf the web with add on software (AOL and others offer this) -Syncronize not only with your PC (basic) but also with Yahoo! and Excite.com which offer TrueSync technology allowing you to keep ONLINE address books, calendars, planners, etc. that syncronize with your desktop and palm size pc.

I can go on forever but the deal is Philips made a great design that has yet to be beat out there. It is not only stylish but ergonomic...I used mine at a minimum of 8 hours a day in a hectic retail sales environment. It got dropped roughly 40 times, banged up, scratched up, wet down with sweat, dust, etc. It held up all this time for MONTHS in my BACK POCKET until a steel beam hit the screen (hint, hint get extra service protection).

Buy this product you'll love it.

Summary: A great PDA - but BEWARE!
Review: Everything positive you've read about the Nino is true, but, according to Philips Nino they are getting out of the PDA business. Already, the 'Nino Store' at their Web-site is closed. So, if what you need is what comes out of the box, Buy It! But don't expect continued Philips support, ROM upgrades, or even a replacement stylus. Alas, the Nino has gone the way of the Dodo, and I own a three-week old dinosaur!

Summary: Bulky and elaborate to use
Review: I actually throw it away and bought a Palm product. Don't bother buying it.

Summary: Excellent product at a great price! Great deal!
Review: I always loose notes, notebooks, and forget things. The Nino has helped me organize things. Even at its retail price of $300 it is a great buy. Compared with other PDA products it comes with 8mb compared with 2mb for others. Given that I don't add any new apps into the system, and the applications use part of the 8mb as work space I still end up with 5-6mb for my notes, contacts, schedules etc. Windows CE is also slower but its much more configurable, and a few extra seconds wait is tolerable. Out of the box it comes with in addition to the usual docking station the ff: voice recorder, modem, rechargeable batteries, and voice recognition software! And at $179, for just an extra $79 its got the low end PDA $100 and under beat by a long shot. And compared to the $300 variety its still way ahead. Would have gotten a 5 star except it is a bit bigger than other palm products. But the bigger size is worth the extra power!

Summary: Best Compatibility.
Review: I am consultant in IT industry. Running around, meeting clients...etc are my job. And NINO 319 really helps. And I use Microsoft products. Therefore Windows CE is the only platform I want to invest, coz I don't want any trouble to use with my MS software. And I am glad I did make this decision.

NINO 319 is good, with the 19.2kbps modem is even the best value of all time in PDA even Palm V. And the only thing I bought extra for this cool thing is an extra cradle at work and a 64MB Compact flash memory for future expansion.

Installation of new programs is easy as 1-2-3. The new ActiveSync 3.0 helps alot. But be sure you download the latest NINO software service release first from NINO website. Before upgrading it.

One last tips : go to pda.tucows.com/wince/index.html for best free/shareware for Windows CE. My recommendation are the Shanghai and Pocket Chess. :)

Summary: You will Love this PDA
Review: I am rather happy with this purchase which I bought a few months ago. I had the palm 111, and although the size was smaller, the functionality of Win Ce was excellent and much better. I had no problems whatsoever with setting it up with my computer and file transfer between outlook was excellent, and reasonably fast! When looking at all the pro's and con's I am very happy with this machine and I recommend it to anybody who lives a busy lifestyle and requires a PDA to make your life easier.
