Rating: 5 stars
Summary: excellent collection of challenging elementary problems
Review: I've been collecting math puzzle books for about 16 years.

The Can You Solve These? set of 3 booklets, is one of my most treasured puzzle books. The problems are fresh, simply stated, yet pleasantly challenging to solve.

There are hints at the end of the book to help you, if become frustrated.

The author, David Wells has written many fine puzzle books, all are above average fare - to me, Wells is one of the best elementary math writers, he ranks right up there with such puzzle luminaries as Martin Gardner and Raymond Smullyan.

A note to the bookseller: These books are more challenging than the kiddy category you seem to suggest.

Don't miss out, buy the 3 books set. Also look up some of Wells other works such as, You Are a Mathematician, and Dictionary of Interesting Puzzles.

Happy puzzling.
