Summary: Not What I Expected
Review: I was instrumental in ordering this book as my monthly book club's selection. Therefore, I was quite embarrassed when I began reading the book. After reading at least 30 or more pages, I decided to examine the publisher's information. My conclusion was that the author must have been able to finance a private publication of the book. I cannot see how any well known major or even smaller publisher would ever have published this book as it is. It is unfortunate, because the author does have the ability to tell a great deal about earlier days in Florida, which was the subject my club was interested in for this selection. My other conclusion was that the author must have had no one to edit his work. He omits nearly every comma which should be there, for instance. This could have a much more readable and interesting book if only it had been edited properly.

Summary: Home sick
Review: I'm a resident of Northern Florida. As I read through Mr Boatright's book , it brings back memories of people and places I have of this region of Florida. The book contained characters , I could relate to , and I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading.
