Rating: Summary: Someone Was Watching Review: I thought Someone Was Watching, by David Patneaude, was a very good book. This book was the kind of book that you couldn't put down. It keeps you excited from start to finish and you want to find out what happens next.
This book is the kind of book for mystery lovers. It is such a realistic detective story that the readers are blown away. It is a heart pounding book but also a heart breaking story at the same time. You can relate to the main character, Chris. Faith and hope keep Chris looking for his little sister. If I was in Chris's place I would have done the same thing that he did. If there was even a small chance that your little sister was alive, you would do anything to find her. The only thing that would stop me from looking for my sister would be causing more worry for my parents. If I was wrong, everyone would think that I couldn't except that she was dead and say I needed counseling. If she was alive, my parents would never know how to thank me. That's exactly what just happened in Chris's story. Chris had faith that his sister was still alive and he proved not just to his parents but to himself that he is one of the best detectives there is.
I also like books with happy endings. This is a book that had a happy ending because Chris found his little sister. His family was all back to normal once Molly was home again. He was the hero of the family and he paid a lot more attention to his little sister and his whole family from then on. He found out how easy it was to lose someone you love and most of the time you can't get them back. Everyone was paying more attention to each other from then on and the Barton's all lived happily ever after.
Rating: Summary: Someone Was Watching... A Review Review: Imagine this...Your little sister was "lost" when you and your parents were on a vacation in a small town. Everyone helps to look for her, but she is presumed dead. You think she might still be alive, but your parents think you need counseling. Also, no one believes you but your best friend. What do you do???
If you just imagined this scene, you just imagined the beginning to a book titled Someone Was Watching by David Patneaude. This book was about Chris, who loses his little sister while on a vacation. Chris reviews some videotapes and he decides that Molly (his little sister) is still alive. He recruits his best friend Patrick, and they fly to a little town outside of Tampa. There they rescue his little sister Molly, and they send the couple who kidnapped her to jail, but not without a few thrilling scenes.
The setting of this book is in Greenwater and outside of Tampa. It is present time, mid 1990's. The conflict is that Molly is kidnapped and the resolution is that they find and rescue Molly and the kidnapping couple goes to jail.
I highly recommend this book to boys and girl 10 years of age and up. I also recommend it to people who love mystery and thriller books.
Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!! Review: Read this book!! Someone was watching is now my favorite book. It's about a boy named Chris and his sister Molly. Chris and his family go to their summer house. They are picnicking near the river. Chris decided to go record some wildlife. When he came back he found his mom and dad asleep and Molly was gone. They searched and searched for Molly but couldn't find her. Three months later their therapist tells them to watch the tape they had of that day. Chris and his mom and dad watched it. That night Chris woke up with bad dreams and goes to watch the tape again. The second time of watching the tape it shows a secret in the back round. Now Chris is determined that his sister Molly isn't dead. Chris and his friend go on a adventure to find out the real truth and where his little sister is!!!
Rating: Summary: How Far Will He Go? Review: The story was great!!! It was about a boy who went up to his summer house with his family. On their way they stop at the Cloverbud. When they get to their house they settle down and go down to the park by the river. They feed the ducks and play in the water. After that they get out and Molly colors in her coloring book and Chris gives his parents a hand sign that he is going to film the ducks. So he goes and films them and goes back to their picnic spot.He gets and cant find molly's they search for 2 days strait. then they say "Missing, Presumed Drowned". They go back home. 3 months later they come back to the house. So they fix her up a bit. stay awhile and then go home.Chris calls his friend Pat and he comes over. They eat dinner and then decide to watch the video they made that day. Nothing seems wrong the first time he watches it the second time he figures out an awful secret. Just how far will he go to see if he can find Molly.
Rating: Summary: EXCITING Review: This book was pretty good. It'll keep you on the edge of your seat through the whole book. It's about Chris Barton and his family. One day, they're at their summer house at a river in the town of Greenwater with his baby sister Molly. While his little sister was playing in the sand, Chris walked away quietly for a walk by himself. He he came back, his parents were sleeping. Everything seemed fine until he noticed that Molly was gone!!!! The whole town searched for days, but they couldn't find her anywhere. The newspapers said "Little Girl Lost: Presumed Dead," but one day Chris watches the video tape from that day. From the video he learns an eerie secret about that dreadful day. The secret will lead him on a long journey with his best friend Pat. Is Molly still alive? Can two teenagers find out what really happened to Molly? There is a downside to this book though. Almost from the very beginning you know what's going to happen. Even though this book is very exciting
