Summary: Good Holocaust book
Review: I liked this book because it has good detals.It ezplains what people had to go through during the Holocaust.I recomed this book because it is a good way to learn about the Holocaust.The strong point was when the war was over.The weak point was when the naizs killed alot of people.

Summary: Indoctrination
Review: Just my initial thumbing through of the book turned up inconsistancies and outright fabrications in almost every page I turned to. I will state just two for the sake of brevity, the second of which is just an out and out lie. The first inconsistancy, and one that no serious writer on the holocaust make, is stated on page 202 in a caption next to a photo of a female guard at Belsen concentration camp. The caption states "Irma Grese, former guard at Belsen.Her sadistic cruelty towards the prisoners and the ease with which she sent thousands to the gas chambers earned her the nickname "Bitch of Belsen"." The major problem with that statement is that there were no gas chambers at Belsen, which is confirmed by even the conventional historical record. Page 228 attempts to dispell the findings of "The Leuchter Report" (an independent chemical analysis for the presence of hydrogen cyanide on the walls of the "gas chambers" and delousing facilities at Auschwitz) which showed no evidence of gassing by Zyclon B. On page 228 she attempts to state how the negative result occured "The stone and bricks have been lying exposed to the elements since 1945, weather and time alone would have removed small traces of the gas." That is all well and good, and Mr. Leuchter's test may have had it's flaws but on the very next page she goes on to state " An extensive correctly conducted analysis was carried out with samples from the same sites in 1994 by the Institute for Forensic Research in Cracow, Poland. Zyclon B was found in almost all samples." The problems with the claim about the report from the Institute for Forensic Research are that the test was not for Zyclon B ,but for hydrogen cyanide, the test did not show traces of hydrogen cyanide in all of the samples, a miniscule trace was only found in one of the samples taken from the alleged gas chambers. Perhaps the sauce on the meatloaf is that on the previous page she inferred that this sort of test would be worthless, but then she totally lies and states that there were many positive results for "Zyclon B" and we are supposed to disreguard what she stated the previous page! This book is not an ill researched piece, but a conscious effort to distort and falsify history and scientific research. World War Two was terrible enough without these embellishments. Our children do not need this award winning rubbish clouding their eyes to the reality of history. Tripe like this hurts exterminationist theory more than it helps. Two thumbs down.... a real stinker.

Summary: a Review
Review: Though im not jewish and am a christian i was interested in the holocaust so i bought this book through my school. While readin this book i cried at how much the jews and mentally ill and gypsies had to suffer just because they were jew mentally ill etc. Obviously this book isn't a happy one it tells of the holocaust and answers parctically all of your answers. This book is a good book and though like i said its a historic one that tells how cruel the world was this is a good book for people studying about the holocaust or part of what happened in europe during world war II.
