Rating: Summary: Twists and turns and lots of fun! Review: This is a great book for younger readers and highly recommended for Harry Potter fans. Older readers will enjoy it also; the book starts off with the very familiar story of girl-trying-to-do-something-girls-are-forbidden-to-do, but rapidly takes off for challenging territory, including difficult ethical choices. All wonderfully presented, and yes, reminiscent of CJ Cherryh, not to mention Sylvia Engdahl and Susan Cooper. I'm well over 30 and really enjoyed it! Lera and her dragon friend are fun, complex characters-- and my heart broke for Morthos!
