Summary: It had potential...
Review: Freedom's Fire had great potential, with a strong, exciting plot, but the story itself turned out to be weak and dull.

It told about a patriot family during the Revolutionary War: Sarah in love with a loyalist, Joshua away fighting, and Thomas wanting to fight, too. Then the story went downhill, with weak characters, their minds only on what they want. Sarah not caring whether the patriots win or lose, just wanting to marry Robert without any obstacles; Joshua wanting to fightand be important; and Thomas hating the farm, his family, and the loyalists.

As I said, this book had potential, and if you read it, read it for that and for the history. If you want a really good read on the Revolutionary War, however, try the books in the "Dear America" and "My Name is America" series.
