Summary: A basic introduction
Review: This book, aimed at a younger audience, contains a dense body of information about the beginnings of the Gay Rights movement, from 1969 to 2000. It's highly informative, if a bit dry. It's also extremely neutral in its treatment of both pro-gay and anti-gay politics and beliefs, although the book overall is more gay friendly than anything. A good, basic introduction.
