Summary: Fabulous
Review: Another addition to the story of friends Lacey, Chelsea, Amanda, Jillian and Katie, its a must-read. Chelsea is on the beeper for a heart transplant, and staying with Katie's family. Katie's success with a heart transplant gives Chelsea hope, but after living with a heart disease her entire life, Chelsea is getting sicker each day. At a class for hopeful tranplant receipiants, Chelsea meets Jillian, a sassy, up-beat red-head with a Texan twang and a rich father. Jillian is not only in need of a heart, but a 'pair of lungs.' Jillian and Chelsea can relate, and become instant friends. But one night both girls' beepers go... but there's only one heart, and two lungs. Do the doctors save three people, or one?

Summary: One of Lurlene's greatest!
Review: By reading some of the other reviews for this book, I realize that many of them are negative. They imediatly turn you off from the book. I sopose there are some people who do not like them, but please read the book for yourself and then decide. Do not let the negative reviews influence you. The books are inspiring, touching, and simply amazing.
This praticular book is about two friends fighting for their lives because of failing hearts. When both are called into the hospital, only one will be choosen to recieve the heart that is being donated. Booth friends want the heart to be given to eachother, but it will only be given to one, and the other will die.
I have read almost all her other books, and I have never gotten bored, or thought the plot was the same, or the book was predictable. Please try her books before you decide you don't like them, and don't let negative reviews influence you're desision. You'll find her books are truly amazing.

Summary: Not the Best
Review: I didnt really like this book. Its basically about these two girls that need a heart transplant. When one heart finally does come up, they are both good canidates for it. But since the one girl gets it, the other one dies.

Then there is another problem about this other girl who is torn between her boyfriend and the new guy at school.

(How facinating)

Summary: Death of Young Girl
Review: I first read this book in 1994 when I was 10 years old. I got it from the book fair and was fascinated by all things medical. It ended up touching me so much and I continue to read Lurlene Mcdaniel books at 21. I re-read "She died too young" this summer and it can still make me cry. The friendship of Jillian and Chelsea is something we all need. I very much recommend this book..It'll really make you appreciate your own friends.

Summary: Save a tree
Review: I had the misfortune to read this book, and it is incredibly sappy. Bascially, two girls need the same organ, or multiple organs, and they meet and become best friends. Then ONE organ comes up, and it would work for both of them, and the one that doesn't get it dies the same night. And the cute guy in the background is a nessecity. This book could very easily be the worst I've read, with the possible exception of some Baby Sitter's club stories, and if a book has ever deserved no stars, this one is it.

Review: I love this book! I have read books by this author over and over. This is one of my favorite authors. Each book teaches you something new. This book teaches everyone about how some actually get heart transplants, and some die waiting for a transplant that never comes. you have to agree after reading this book , just ask yourself this question. Is life really fair?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It's about something that happens in real life. The BEST!!!
Review: I really liked this book because it shows that in life not everthing can go your way. This story can happen in real life. It's the best story I have read because it's about two friends that need the same heart. I thought the book was sad, but these things happen in real life. That's what life is about.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book will make you value life a little bit more.
Review: This book by Lurlene McDaniel is AWESOME. It was the first one of all her books that I have read. I saw it at a bookstore and at first hated it, but then I really got into it. This book is for those who have a heart and are willing to give this book a try, otherwise don't even touch the book. I have since read many others by Lurlene McDaniel, and while they have the basic story-line, they really are rather different. Read this and then more in the series
