Summary: BEST BOOK I'VE READ THIS YEAR
Review: Healer's Keep is the best book i'veread this year.It has more action than about fifty other books, and the characters make you wish you could do half what they do.i feel like so mamny girls have gone through what Saraveldda goes through, falling for the wrong guy and all the problems that makes. Dorjan is a really amazing character and i wished she would see him for what he is right from the begginning but she was blinded by love like we have all been through. Anyway you'l LOVE having thisbook, i recomend it for any girl whose been through bad love(or any guy who likes action/adventur.

Summary: Superb!
Review: I couldn't put this book down. From the first page in the bath house with Maeve I was enthralled. There is wisdom, adventure, suspense and magic. I am reminded of the best of Marion Zimmer Bradley. The characters are rich, vibrant - coming to life in your hands. The story is riveting and leads us along a path of self-discovery; learning to stand up for what you believe in against the tide; doing what is right rather than what is popular; recognizing deception and greed... It is a magical book full of hope.

I loved the Seer and the Sword, and, if possible, this book builds on and goes beyond that wonderful book. Highly, highly recommended. A wonderful read for the young adult, and the young at heart adult!

Summary: Hope for our young people
Review: I just want to express my gratitude to Victoria Hanley for taking the effort to write the books she has written and, I hope, will continue to write. Despite the reports that all kids today do is watch TV or play video games for entertainment, I know that is not true 100%. Many young adults PREFER to read! And that is a good thing when there are authors for young adults like Ms. Hanley offering such books as this, The Healer's Keep. It is an EXCELLENT work. The story moves and flows brilliantly. Her main characters are interesting and come to life in the mind, and they capture the heart. This tale is adventuresome to put it mildly. But more importantly, the kids she tells of in The Healer's Keep, display qualities of good character. Modeling bravery, intelligence, imagination, loyalty, true friendship and others to inspire our great young people. Parents, if your child has an interest in reading, this book and Ms. Hanley's first book, The Seer And The Sword, are a must! Great reading for boys and girls! If you want your child to grow up with an interest in reading, I would recommend you put these books in their hands and just see what happens. I bet I could tell you what that outcome will be. Ms. Hanley brings a freshness to stories for young adult readers that inspires them and challenges them to learn about themselves through the lives of her characters. It almost seems like her books become interactive with kids, and once they begin the first page they and the characters become best friends and compadres, living the adventure together. Excellent work! 5 stars and 5 thumbs up from this parent (of an avid young adult reader) to Ms. Hanley! BTW, so that no one thinks I am writing this review for my daughter, she has expressed her own feelings here about this book already. It has been partly her enthusiasm for both of Ms.Hanley's books that I read them too. Although, after reading The Seer And The Sword, I have to say, I was already pretty excited about reading this new book. The Healer's Keep has more than lived up to both our expectations!

Summary: Even better than Seer and the Sword
Review: I loved the Seer and the Sword, and have great affection for Landen and Torina. I too would have liked to see a sequel to that book, and Healer's Keep is not a sequel. But I don't let my desire for a sequel blind me to the amazing story told in the Healer's Keep. The plot is extraordinary, and would make a great movie. The characters drive the story. Each of them must choose, at some point, whether to let evil stand or do their part. The choices are very difficult and involve great risks. Jasper is a fine hero because he doesn't think of himself as a hero but he is one. Saravelda must experience all the humiliation of falling in love with the wrong man. Dorjan has to decide whether to go into danger to help his sister.
Also, if you're able to see beneath the surface, this book is full of meaning, spiritual symbolic meaning. There are many layers to this story, and it can be read again and again. Personally, I loved it, and I think it could easily be marketed to adults.

Summary: OMG
Review: OMG THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RARE ND TRULY ORIGINAL BOOKS. I HAVE NOW READ IT 7 TIMES AND EACH TIME I GET SOMETHING MORE. THERE'S THE STUFF THAT APPLIES TO EVERYONE, ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS AND HOW THEY CAN GET YOU IN REAL TROUBLE AND SCAR YOUR LIFE. BUT THERE'S ALSO THINGS ABOUT HOW TO TRAVEL IN DREAMS AND LIVE UP TO WHAT YOUR GIVEN IF THERE'S ANY WAY POSSIBLE. I LOVED THE SEER AND THE SWORD BUT THIS BOOK IS INCREDIBLE.

Summary: girl reviewers don't get this book
Review: the girl reviewers don't get this book, at least i don't think so. ok so i'ma guy, so maybe i don't know what they know. but why do they go on and on about jasper? dorjan is the best fantasy hero i've ever read, not jasper. butsomehow dorjan gets no respect, or at least not the kind ov respect he should have with all his powers and what he does in the book. ok so that's it,i guess read it and decide.

Summary: Takes hold of your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This book really took hold of my mind!!!!!!! I read it straight through, and then read it again. I did not want to leave that world. It's impossible to describe the magic of this book, you have to read it yourself to know what I mean. I think you'll love it, and I can't wait for another book by Victoria Hanley. I wish she was a faster writer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: great charactrers, fabulous plot
Review: this is a great book for many reasons -- the plot is intricate and does not follow predictable lines at all. amd tjat's unusyal to find. the fantasy elements are fabulous, unique, you just won'tfind this kind of action anywhere else. i do understand why the girls fa;;in love with jasper,he's very cuorageous. but dorjan is above all the best character in the book,i agree. the bad guys are truely chilling. you want to shake saravelda butshe does finally do some awesome action. i ended up reading thisbook in one sitting which is unusual for me. i've read it again sevveral times and it gets better and more intersting each time. recomended.

Summary: Ten stars
Review: This is an adult's review: I give this book ten stars. It kept me stunningly well entertained for two nights. The only reason I didn't finish it in one day is because I have to work. As it is, I lost a bit too much sleep. This book really satisfied not only my need for a good story but also my need for an intricate and amazing plot. My only concern would be: Do teens really understand this book? It seems to be written for brainy people. Well, judging from the other reviews on here, there are teenagers who get how amazing The Healers Keep is. I find this strangely encouraging: there really ARE people out there, young and old, connected to a love of books that aren't run of the mill. The Healers Keep is such a book. I'm sure I'll read it several times, which, for a reader like me, is saying a lot.
