Summary: The Best Marine Science Text Available
Review: T.F. Greene's "Marine Science" is far and away the best introductory text on the subject I have encountered. It is well written and follows a logical, well written progression through a large body of information. The Units and Chapters are well thought out and each has effective review material. Review questions are in a variety of formats that reenforce without duplicating critical ideas in the text. Supplementary essays (sidebars) are well written, timely and enjoyable. My only conceivable complaint would be the lack of color illustration. Though given the low price, this is understandable. I would recomend this book to any one interested in marine science or marine biology.
