Summary: This was a book that will make you cry- but good!
Review: I loved this book! It was really good, and it made me cry. The girl has leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant, but finds out that her own family cannot be donors because they are not even related to her- she was adopted when she was three days old! The whole story is about trying to find her birth mother- a search to end in life or death.

Summary: it was great!
Review: I thourghly enjoyed "Mother help me live". It was one of Mcdaniels better books. It is different, but it is suprisingly better than her romance novels. Mcdaniel does a good job of presenting the story and showing the importance of family. Sarah is a lovable charcter who can relate in one way or another to most teenage girls. Adoption is the main focus of the book. I would reccomend this book to all tennage girls and Lurlene Mcdaniel fans.

Summary: Rennee's Mother Help Me Live review
Review: It was a really good book that I highly enjoyed. Mother Help Me Live gets two meanings throughout the book. I would recommend reading it during the day because it's a very emotional book. The main character is 15 and has lukemia currently after being in remission for 2 years. She needs a bone marrow transplant and that's when she finds out she's adopted. Don't read the following if you don't want to know whether you'll be really happy or sad. Either way you'll bawl so... Okay, just thought it was a really great book and wanted to write about it.

Sarah doesn't die.

Summary: I wanted to give this book 3.5 stars, but I cant
Review: Sarah McGreggor is a 15-yr-old patient. When her doctors tell her that she needs a bone marrow transplant to live, but she doesnt really think anything of because she has a younger bro and sis they can get the bone marrow from. Then her parents tell her that she was adopted, and that none of them can be a donor. But when she gets $100,000 from the One Last Wish foundation, she decides to look for her biological mother, and asking her to be her donor. But when she does find her real mother, she wants nothing to do with her, and cantbe her donor because she has cancer to.

OK, I really didnt like this book because it made her biological mother look bad because she wouldnt be her donor. Like Hello?? She has cancer, she cant do it! She should of looked bad because she wanted nothing to do w/ Sarah.

Summary: The great book "Mother, Help Me Live"
Review: This is a touching story which can help you understand the feelings of a girl who had a kidney failure and the only way to save her was to get a new kidney. The most suitable kidney was a kidney from someone who was related to her... Its either her family or cousins...
She later realised that her parents who was taking care of her since she was little was not her real parents. Later she decided to search for her real mother. Who knows if her mother still want her and decided to donate one of her kindeys to her real daughter.
Read this story and you will be hooked to it....

Summary: Mother, Help Me Live
Review: Title: Mother, Help me Live
By: Lurlene McDaniel
Review by: J. Ku
Period: P.1

In Mother, Help me live, Sarah McGreggor, at the age of 10, finds out that she is diagnosed with leukemia. She endured treatments for three year, but her leukemia still responed. Dr. Gill thought a bone marrow transplant would be the best cure for Sarah's leukemia. Dr. Gill said the bone marrow should come from her brother or sister. Right away, Sarah's parents knew that her brother and sister's bone marrow wouldn't work, but Sarah didn't understand why. Later, she learned that she was adopted when she was three days old. She wanted to find her birth mother to ask if she could donate some of her bone marrow. Sarah woke up one night and found a letter from OLW foundation. She opened it up and read the letter. In addition to the letter was a check for one-hundred-thousand dollars. Once she found her birth mother, she went to go see her. Janelle didn't want to have anything to do with Sarah so she shut them out. Before Sarah was about to go home, Janelle came and said that she would never be a suitable candidate for donating bone marrow no matter if it matched or not. Janelle had breast cancer and she went under chemo and radiation. The doctor told Janelle that the disease had a tendency to run in the family.

I really liked this book because it is filled with hope. Sarah never gave up, she always believed that something good would happen. This book has a very strong family bond. All of the family members are very close. Whenever someone is in need, atleast one of the family member will be there.

I don't like this book becuase it is to sad. It makes me cry as you read the book. I have read a lot of Lurlene McDaniel's books, each time I read it I always think, "what if that was me? or what would happen if that was me?" Stories about dying maked other people wonder about dying.

My favorite part of the book is when Sarah and Janelle get together again. Mother and daughter get reunited. If I was Sarah, I would be really excited and happy because I am about to meet a woman that i have never met before. My other favorite part is when Sarah recieves the leter from the OLW foundation which was written by JWC. The letter read,

Dear Sarah,

You don't know me, but I know about you, and because I do, I want to give you a special gift. Accompanying htis letter is a certified check, my gift to you with no strings attached to spen on anything you want. No one knows about this gift except you, and you are free to tell anyone you want.

Who I am isn't really important, only that you and I have much in common. Through no fault of our won, we have endured pain and isolation and have spent many days in a hospital felling lonely and scared. I hope for a miracle, but most of all, I hoped for someone to truly understand what I was going through.

I cant make you live longer. I can't stop you from hurting, but I can give you one wish, as someonedid for me. My wish helped me find purpose, faith, and courage.

Friendship reaches beyond time, and the true miracle is in giving, not receiving. Use my gift to fulfill your wish.

Your Forever Friend,
JWC
I really like this letter, it is very touching and from the heart. I makes a person feel good about having someone to understand what you are going through. Although this person wishes to remain anonymous, he/she will be greatly thanked.
