Summary: Better and better!
Review: I should say that I'm a little (?) older than most readers, but just as captivated by this fabulous writer. I'm not in the target audience, being 58 years old, but I and my granddaughters (9&6) LOVED this book!
The 3rd book in the series is the fattest one yet, maybe getting just a little too big for the younger reader... But anyone hooked on the previous two books will not care - they will only wish it were even longer!
Read the prequel to learn more about Cloud Wolf.

Paul Stewart's imagination is unleashed in this episode - there are more strange creatures, people and beasts than ever - and Chris Riddell's illustrations get better & better - I WISH I could draw like that!

I can't wait for the next volume ...

Summary: Over the Edge
Review: In "Stormchaser", our young hero, Twig, and his crew were last seen heading into the eye of a mighty storm, way past the Edge, being towed by a gigantic bird.

In the eye of the storm, he finds someone he had thought was lost forever, and learns of the terrible sacrifice that must be made for the continued existence of life on The Edge.

He shares the information with one of his trusted crew members just before the storm implodes, scattering skyship and crew to the winds, and wiping certain memories from the unprotected pirates.

Rescued by the Professor of Darkness, who has unknowingly been observing the event, Twig tries to piece together both his life and his crew. He recruits a bright young apprentice to help him, and bit by perilous bit he finds his friends, who glow warmly whenever they are reunited.

A timely reminder puts Twig back on course on his quest to save the Edge and its inhabitants, as midnight falls over Sanctaphrax, and Twig tries to be a big shot hero.

As one era drifts away, another is born, and the waters of the Edgewater River flow in celebration.

Darkly exciting, gruesome, gritty and gross, this is the most action packed book of the Chronicles so far, and is sure to appeal to a far larger crowd than the recommended target audience.

Summary: Midnight over Sanctaphrax
Review: In book 3 of The Edge Chronicles, we again travel with Twig, the Sky Pirate Captain, and his crew through another fun filled adventure. In this book, Twig receives information that will affect the future of Sanctaphrax, and possibly all life on The Edge. He must act quickly, or life as they know it will come to an abrupt halt. This page turner follows Twig in his efforts to save himself, but more importantly, his fine and loyal friends.

This novel is far and away the best of the series thus far. In addition to the well told story, we get a closer glimpse into the personalities of the individual characters that we are learning to enjoy. Here's hoping that the rest of the series continues to build with the success we have seen this far!

Summary: The best book I ever read!
Review: This book is amazing! before I read the edge chronicles all the books I read were boring, but now I can't wait until the next edge chronicle is out.

the book is about Twig, a young sky pirate captain who has set out to find his lost crew, regain his memory and save the floating city of sanctaphrax.

I would recomend this book to anybody looking for a good read!

Summary: The best of the first three
Review: This is a great book series. The books are absolutely amazing, with the descriptions and illustrations. My book is missing page 227, but on The Edge Chronicles website, you can print out the page, because there was a printing error. I'm not getting a new one because I know it will be worth a ton if the series hits off. Sadly, the next book won't come out till February 8th 2004. Great and I mean great series. 10 out of 10!
