Review: I am a high school calculus teacher. I have used this book for three editions. My students find the book very helpful. In fact, several have bought their own copy to use as a reference in later courses. My students have always done well on the AP Calculus exam, and I give most of the credit to Larson's Calclulus.

Summary: Help for Engineering Students
Review: I am an engineering student at a university. My calculus class used a different text, which I did not find helpful. I found a copy of this book in the libary and it really helped me. In fact, it helped so much that I bought my own copy from Amazon.com. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know how calculus can be used in engineering.

Summary: Excellent Book for Self Study
Review: I am using this book in a correspondence course. I have never had calculus before and I can only communicate with my instructor by mail. This means that I have to rely primarily on the textbook for explanations. I was worried about taking the course because I have had trouble with math in the past. However, this book is so well written that I have had very few problems. When I have had troubles, I can usually get them answered by going to the Internet site that accompanies the book. A couple times, I even wrote to the author and both times he wrote back to me with answers to my questions. I recommend this book to any student who is afraid of taking a calculus course.

Review: I had this text for all three semesters of calculus. I could always count on it for good explanations. The Internet site that accompanies the text is also really great. It has all the worked out solutions to the odd-numbered exercises in the text. These really helped me because I tend to be a late night worker and when I needed help I had only the book or the website to go to. Between the two of them, I always got my questions answered. If you are a student who likes immediate help late at night, this book is for you.

Review: I used this book for three semesters in college: Calc I, II, and III. It is the best math book I ever had. The authors seem to understand exactly what a beginning student in calculus needs to be told. I highly recommend this book to all students.

Review: I would reccommend this book to those seeking a solid and thorough foundation in Calculus. The book is so rich that it can be used straight out of Pre-Calc and is still interesting and useful after taking 3 semesters of calculus. The exercises are EXCELLENT. The solution manual is sold seperately but is an essential tool when working the exercises.

Review: This is the beginning of my third semester of calculus. I bought this book a year ago and used it for Calc 1 & 2. It is hands-down the best math book I have ever had. It is easy to read, had great graphics, and the student solution guide on the Internet is a life-saver.
