Summary: Great book!
Review: I really liked this book. Trimp the Rover hedgehog goes to Redwall Abbey. It's under construction. She helps build by singing a hauling shanty about Martin's father, Luke. Martin becomes depressed, so Gonff, Dinny, and Trimp take him on an adventure.
My favorite part is the song about Saint Ninian's.

Summary: The Legend of Luke, a Legend among books
Review: I think that one who loves the Redwall series, and those who have not heard of it, should read The Legend of Luke. The Legendof Luke is the best book I have read in a long time. It combines action, fantasy, and adveture into the plot, which makes it a H.T.P.D book (or a Hard To Put Down book). It has all the elements of a great, and in my opinion deserves an award. This book is a prelude to the other Redwall books. It has awesome characters which feel so real that when you hear the door-bell ring you expect Martin, the warrior mouse, to walk in the room and do his dangerous "Sword Dance". There was never a dull moment in The Legend of Luke. I thought that some parts of the book were so good I had to reread them, so I could experience the thrill again. The plot is one of the best parts of this book. If the auther were not Brian Jacques I would wonder how he thought of it. It stars Martin, a warrior mouse, who wants to find his father, Luke. Some of his friends from Redwall abbey decide to help him. On the way to Martin's old home they pick up some new and intresting characters, which include a plump baby squirrel and a cannibal otter. If you want to knw if they succeed in their quest get this book! Overall I loved The Legend of Luke. I think this is the best Redwall book yet. If I had to point out a problem in this book I would say that the climax gets so intense that I wanted to flip ahead and see what happens. If you are looking for a book packed with fun and adventure, then The Legend of Luke is for you.

Summary: One of the beast Redwall Books Ever Written!
Review: I urge you to buy this book. I have read nearly all of the Redwall series, and this is by far one of the best. The Story starts with Martin, the son of luke, and his friends Dinny the mole and Gonff, prince of mousethieves. He picks up a few more party members, but i'll let you find those out for yourself. After Martins fight with an evil wildcat in the book Mossflower, Martin lost almost all of his memory. So martin ventures out in search of his past and what happened to his Father, Luke the Warrior. Half of the story is Martin and his friends trekking through Mossflower to the northern shore caves. The other half starts right when martins father leaves him in search of an evil searat, that killed his wife. The story is sad and almost made me cry and the end. Various plot twists make this book hard to let go of. So just go buy it already! CAUTION! Buying this book may make you go Redwall Crazy!

Summary: The Legend of Luke-An Epic Tale. One of Jacque's Best
Review: Jacques has woven a story that is the best novel in a long time hands down. Legend of Luke was a tale that combined emotion, values, a set of rules for everyone, from mice to men, to live by. Legend of Luke was one of the best Redwall books. I touches on the sensitive past of mysterious warrior, Martin, Redwall's hero and champion for many years to come. Martin learns things he didn't know about his father, and the brave deed he did to save his friends. We learn how Martin got his tender side, and that no matter what, he never gave up hope that his father would return to him. We read on, eager for more and learn about all the people Luke managed to touch by making the sacrifices he made. We learned what injustices were performed on Martin's grandmother and Father. It was a sad book, but I'd still recommend reading it. That's all 4 now fellow Redwall fans

Summary: Congratulations, Jacques, You've Done It Again!
Review: The Legend of Luke By Brian Jacques

Another incredible book by Brian Jacques! He's done it again! This, The Legend of Luke, may be the best Redwall novel yet! It gives all the information in a wonderful, compelling way to show you what you didn't get in Martin the Warrior and Mossflower. This book gives lots of humor, seriousness, and tons of thrills. It's really funny when Gonff the Mousethief breaks into a ballad. That's what makes it such a great book! I'd give this book way more than five stars, maybe 123,456,789,987,654 should do it. This is the story of Martin's quest to find more about his father Luke the Warrior. On the way Martin meets new and old friends like Chugger the baby squirrel and the Guosim shrews. They also come to the Northland Shores and meet Vurg, Beau, Denno, and Dulam. Aboard the Arfship, Martin learns all about his father and his past. Then they come home accompanied by many new friends, and are welcomed home by all of the Redwall inhabitants for a feast. One of my favorite parts in this book is when Martin is alone on deck of the Arfship thinking about his father and the heroic things he did. He feels very proud about his father doing what he did and also about Ranguavar Foeseeker who aided Luke in his quest to avenge family and friends from Vilu Daskar, evil pirate stoat. As I said before, this a very, supremely, excellent book. If you haven't read The Legend of Luke, you'd better go and check it out NOW!

Summary: Newest Redwall Novel a legend in the making
Review: The Legend of Luke by Brian Jacques

On a misty summer morning, a stranger arrives at the Redwall Abbey. However, as soon as Trimp the Hedgehog enters the Abbey, she immediately causes a commotion. As she works in the fields, she sings the song of her homeland, little does she know she sings of Luke the Warrior, father of the Redwall hero Martin. Martin, having never known his warrior father, is filled with curiosity and wonder. He must know more, and eventually he, Gonff the prince of mouse thieves, and Trimp, travel to the North shores to uncover the secret of Luke the Warrior. Little do they know what legend they will uncover.

In this thrilling saga of the Redwall Series ( It takes place chronologically after Mossflower and before Redwall ), Brian Jacques once again mixes animal life into a medieval fairy tale. He descriptively paints a tapestry into your mind to make you feel every as if you were actually there. He holds you in suspense and wonder until it's over.

In my personal opinion I enjoyed the book. After a slow start, it immediately picks up. The vivid description lets you use your imagination to no end. The battle strategy and plot was astounding, and the character development was terrific. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys adventure, and anyone who has an imagination.

Summary: Awesome! Truly AWESOME!
Review: This book is a must-read! It's about how Martin travels to the northlands to find out what happened to his father, Luke the Warrior.

Vilu Daskar is not a very nice stoat! He abused his crew, once having some of them whipped then doused in salt water. Ouch!

Luke is always after Daskar in his tiny vessel, the Sayna, named after Martin's mother. Beau the hare is so funny, his whole crew is. This book is filled with the usual action, adventure, and sadness that is in all the other Redwall books. It has a very sad ending. Sad, but extremely heroic. To those of you that have read it, you know what I mean! And Ranguvar Foeseeker the squirrel warrior, whoa... she's cool! She's one of the most savage warriors in the whole series!

You learn lots of secrets too, like about how Saint Ninian's was built, how the tapestry was made, and all that stuff!

Summary: Amazing work, once more a great sequel!
Review: This book is truly a marvel and a highlight of all Brian's stories. Not just a book for young adults, I, a minor Russian novel publisher, enjoyed this grand yarn and once again unravelled in a wonderful story by Mr. Jacques. Brian is a highlight in the list of my top young adult type books, but that doesn't mean it's not for adults! And now with this wonderfully woven composure his placement is helped by the tale of Martin, Gonff, Trimp, Chugger, Luke and many friends. This story of companionship and adventure is a tale I will recommend to all with a definite liking for the written story. ˆThe Legend of Lukeˆ is a wondrous story that reveals Redwall history from the very beginning, and tells the lon awaited story of Martin's father, Luke the Warrior. With encounters by Flitchaye, otters, crows, swans and many other dangers, this book is definitely at least five out of five stars!

Summary: It deserved more than five stars!
Review: This is one of the best Redwall books. My favorite is Mossflower, but still, how could anyone not love a book with Martin the Warrior, Dinny, Gonff, plus his son Baby Gonflet, who is nearly as funny as his father. I was a bit disapointed that Martin became an abbeymouse,I guess because I never thought of Martin as a peacful abbeydweller, and never thought that he was the sort who would become one. Still, it was a very good book and I loved it! I had wondered for a long time what had become of Martin's dad and this answered my questions. While some people didn't like the fact that only one section was about Luke, I don't mind, because one section was all that was needed. I am not going to say much more about the story itself,as I do not want to give it away. I highly reccomend this book to any Redwall fan, and while it is good as the 12th book, it is just as good when it is read as the first, and it is a good book for anyone new to the series. It was a great book. I wish there were more than five stars, because it deserves a lot more than that!

Summary: A swash buclikng good tale
Review: This is the 12 book in the red wal series. It is the prequel and sequel to mossflower. In legend of Luke Martin the Warrior, Gonf and Young Dinny go on a quest to find out what happens to martins fateher luke.

In it we learn that luke Died shortly after kiling the Vile Dark star a vile vermin corsair who murder his wife. For those of you who read Martin the Warrior you know what becomes of Martin after his father leaves him behind.

Log a log is back so is delight ful Fedd and Cogs sweet old Bell of Brochhall is back to. If you like this book I also recomennd Mossflower and Martin the Warrior for the are the only other books that martin is in that is a Major character. Tell redwall encyloped that there source of books that Martin is in accurate. Sir he is dead and nimare character in the other but he should still be on the list.
