Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Watch out Harry, here comes Jason Del!
Review: The Pearl of Anton is a very exciting and adventursome book. If you thought Harry Potter was good, give The Pearl a read and I'm sure you will find Jason Del just as compelling to read. You find you become one of the Dels on their quest for the Pearl and you help to fight off the bantogs as you journey through time. The Pearl is a definite 5 Star rating!!

Summary: Great story-telling, good for FANTASY fans, iffy writing
Review: The story of the Pearl of Anton is a typical fairy tale or fantasy novel. The Stone is a kind of Philosopher's Stone mixed with a fearsome weapon, and it's handed down to the royal family of Del. But the older brother Theda, firstborn, died in a fall and the Stone must be passed on. Can the younger brother do what must be done to save the world?

This story is well-told and in the tradition of The Hobbit, King Arthur, Harry Potter and other fantasy favorites. The writing, well, sadly, the author needed an editor who would have taken the Sword of Anton to regrettable phrases such as "She looked at him with the eyes of a former healer." What are those eyes supposed to look like? And how do they differ from those of an in-practice healer? One can only imagine. Fortunately, these gaffes only happen occasionally, and the author tells a very good story of dragons, swords, and the usual battles of Good versus Evil with dwarves, bullies, heros and magic thrown in. If you like fantasy, you will enjoy it. I found the plot quite engaging and I was reading steadily from page one. Just overlook the style problems and savor a rollicking tale.

Summary: Great fantasy story
Review: This book is a great fantasy read and a must for people looking for their next fix after Lord of the Rings. Good intro for people who are unfamiliar with the fantasy genre.
