Summary: What a Wonderful Novel!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Danny Vo is a 16-year-old caught between wanting to be an American and being Vietnamese. This novel is filled with love, action, and emotions that will carry you into his world. Sang Le is Danny's cousin, he is 18 and just out of a refugee camp in China. He is trying to fit in with the help of his cousin. This book was one of many books I have read in the bast year, but it was the best of them all. It thrilled me because of the awesome suspense. I READ THE WHOLE THING IN ONE-DAY!

Summary: This was an excellent book.
Review: I found it hard to put this book down. It was very intresting. I loved the way the author discribed Tiffany, Frank, Croba and Hong being like roots in a plant. He couldn't pull up one with out damaging all the others.

Summary: An ok book
Review: I just finished reading Shadow of the Dragon and it wasn't at all interesting. I kept reading it and reading it and never got to the point of the story till the very end. I have to admit that it was kinda boring and lame.

Summary: The cover was offending
Review: I never gained enough nerve to read Shadow Of The Dragon because of the offensive cover. The portrayal of Nazi Skinheads on the cover scared me away. The book would probably do better with another cover.

Summary: Danny feels caught between two worlds
Review: I recommand this book to those who are interested in learning more about Immigrants. Imagine you are a newcomer in a country that you don't know much about. Well, that's what happened to Danny, he feels caught between Vietnam and the United States. He also faced hatred because of where he came from. He fits in with some of his American friends, but yet they don't understand his traditional Vietnamese home life.

Summary: a great book for the average teenager to read about racism
Review: most of the time, you just hear about racism being black and white. this book helps us realize that black and white is not the only racial discrimination! this book describes some of a vietnamese teenager's trials and problems in his every day life as well as outside of school. danny vo experiences the racism of white people, nagging of his grandmother, a sister that is too caught up in herself, and a cousin who has the heart the size of the grand canyon. this book is educational and yet very easy to read and understandable. with a surprise ending, this book can be counted as a book on my A list! *book recommended for people ages 12 (at least!) and up.

Summary: Sahdow of the Dragon
Review: On la scale of one to ten, I would give this book a ten. If it were stars, I would say a four. I rate it this way because it was a really awesome book. I liked this book because it had to do with real life situations. The characters mostly did what they thought was right, even if others thought they were wrong. I also liked this book because it was one of a kind. It was unique because a lot of stories end happily, but this one doesn't. That's semi-cool. The main characters are : Danny, Sang Le, Tiffany, and Ba. Some supporting characters are: Calvin Danny's family, Cobra, Frank, and Hong. I'm not going to say anything specifically, but, someone dies. If that doesn't make you want to read this book, maybe the fact that it has something for everyone will (action, drama, and romance). I think it would make a great movie. As I said before, I would rate this book as one heck of a book. It is my favorite book by far.
