Review: I thought this book was realy good. It was realistic, except for the fact that this twelve year old girl hired her best friend as an agent and got a book published that everyone loved, but that's what I liked about it.

Review: I'm a ten year old girl who loves to read. Out of all the books I read The School Story was my favorite book. I could read all day long with The School Story in my hands. Now to tell you about the book. It's about this girl Natalie who is writing a book and she doesn't want her mom to know about the book. She is writing so she has to figure out a way to get it published without her mom knowing because she is an author. You're probably thinking it would be easy to get it published because her mom was an author, but Natalie thinks her mom will go up to her boss and say my daughter is a genius. Read the book to find out what happens next.

Review: I'm Lizzy from WMA School in 5th grade. This super story takes place in New York City. The main characters are Natalie Nelson (also known as Cassandra Day,) Zoe (also known as Zee Zee,) and
Natalie's mom (also known as Hanna Nelson Editor of Shipley Junior Books. In this story Shipley Junior Books is famous publishing company. The book Natalie wants to publish is called The Cheater. To get this book published Zoe acts as a Literary Agent. They also have a little what am I saying copious amounts of help from their teacher Ms. Clayton. They try to have Natalie's mom publish it but they had a little trouble with Hannah's boss. One day Natalie sends the story to here mom. That night like always she went to her mom's office to find her mom reading her book and she could not put it down. I think that this book is the best. I think everyone in he whole wide world should read it and other books by Andrew Clements such as Frindle, The Landry News, The Janitors boy, The Jacket, and A Week in the Woods. If you want to know if Natalie got her book published you are just going to have to read the book.

Review: If you have ever written a book(I have) and have tried to get it published(I haven't), you know how hard it can be when you get the famous letter of "Thanks, but no thanks". This book will definately inspire you to keep trying! When 12-year-old, Natalie Nelson writes a book, it sits in a pile in her room. Until her friend Zoe reads it. She tells her that the book is SOO good that she HAS to get it published. Then Natalie hits the jackpot. Her mom is an editor! But her mom can't know that SHE wrote it. Filled with fun things like Zee Zee Reicman at Sherry Clutch Literary Agency, and Letha, the evil fire-spitting boos, this book will make you laugh no matter how many times you read it.

Review: In the School Story, Andrew Clements's word choice is irresistible. His book holds you tight. It is a heartwarming story about a young girl and her friend trying to make Natalie's writing dream come true. After her father died, Natalie tries to make a real life for herself without her dad in her life. She tries to do what she loves to do. Natalie strides ahead to make a School Story but gets caught up in some problems with the publisher, Hagatha. Natalie and her close friend Zoe, are so determined to get Natalie's book published that they make up their own publishing company, and Zoe becomes Natalie's chief and her helper. Natalie's disguises herself as Cassandra Day, so no one will know her identity, especially her mom. Will Natalie (Cassandra Day) get her book published? Read this Andrew Clements wonder book that you won't put down. Your children will read it numerous times and they will love it. But you can't resist the passion and the sad times in the book. It is definitely a fun family reader. I would recommend this for everyone.

Summary: Clear the street, Cassandra Day is coming through
Review: It all starts when Natalie Nelson asks her best friend Zoe Reisman to read the begining of her book, the cheater. Zoe loved it and when she likes something, she works with it. Zoe knows this book woould get published but Natalie is not sure. Ms. Hannah Nelson (Natalie's mother) is a publisher at Shipley Jr. Books. If Ms. Nelson knew that that was Natalie's story she would not publish it. So Natalie gets herself a pen name, Cassandra Day. Zoe becomes her agent and calls herself Zee-zee Reisman. Their English teacher helps them along the way and they finally get the book published. This a heart warming book to young writers, like me.

Summary: My absolute favorite book!
Review: It doesn't matter to me if this book isn't as thick as a Harry Potter, I don't care. This author{to me} ranks with the highest {example: Hayao Miyazaki}.
The three main resons this is my all time favorite book is:
1. This is about a girl becoming an author, and when I grow up, I wanna be one too.
2. Andrew Clements could make another book out of this one. It's like a book withen a book!!
3. Events in this ccould happen to everyone.

A cool thing about this book is it has literure questions in the back of it, making it a book teachers might want to think about getting for their students so they could enjoy it!!

Natalie only had a couple more chapters to write before she could try to get it published. "The Cheater" was a surprise book for her mom, Hannah. The bad part was that Hannah works for a publishing company: Shipley Junior books. Natalie and Zoe have to make code names so Hannah doesn't know it is them. Cassandra Day is Natalie's code name and Zee Zee Reisman is Zoe's code name. They have copious amounts of help by their teacher, Ms. Clayton.
There is something else stopping them, Hannah's bose, Letha Springfield who wants to be the editor, but Hannah already is. Is Letha going to be the editor? Will Natalie get her book published? See for yourself!
