Rating: Summary: Greater than Angels has everything I like Review: Greater than Angels was one of the best books I've ever read. It had every aspect of literature that I like- religion, teens' points of view, romance, history, and suspense. I never wanted to put it down, and it was full of surprises. I hope there is a sequel to it because I want to know what happened to Rudi. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have.
Rating: Summary: Anna and her struggle to survive Review: Greater Then Angels is about a girl named Anna who lived in an apartment with her mom,her brother, a sister, her aunt, and her oma or her grandma. One day Anna came in to her house and there were soldiers telling her that she had to hurry up and pack one suitcase to take with her. After everyone was packed the soldier told them that they hs to huury up and get on the train. When they were on the train Oma started to yell and they had to give her pills so the soldier would not throw her off the train. Anna made many friendds after she was at all the camps. You will have to read the book to find out what happens to Anna.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: I read alot of books on WWII and the Jews. This book is an amazing story of a young German Jew and her family after they are rounded up, sent to France, and abbandoned there.
Rating: Summary: GREATER THAN ANGELS WAS A GREAT BOOK! Review: I read Greater Than Angels for school and thought I wouldnotlike it but it turned out to be a great book. I was only supposetoread a few chapters each week but I went ahead and read it in one night because it was so enthralling and I just had to know the outcome. I recommend this book to anyone in search of a touching and fabulous novel.
Rating: Summary: A Walk Through War Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this historical fiction novel. It's a story of a girl named, Anna, and her family during the struggles, hardships, and joys of World War II. The book traces her Jewish family from their home to concentration camps and then to freedom. With the author's great detail throughout the novel she takes you to a place in history you will never have a chance to experience. I would highly recommend this novel to you if you enjoy suspense and historical fiction.
Rating: Summary: Great Peek Into The Holocaust Review: I was told to do a book report on a Canadian author. I decided to do the report on Canadian author Carol Matas and one of her WWII novels. The librarian suggested "Greater Than Angels" I enjoyed the book very much. It was a great look into the things teenage Jews had to go through. I enjoyed how they remained positive though a whole bunch of people wanted them dead. It was a very well thought out story and very encouraging. I highly recommend this book and I give it 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: Greater Than Angels!!!! Review: The book i read was called Greater Than Angels. At first i was not to happy with the book but as i read on it got better. The book was about how the jews were shuved into a boxcar and taken somewhere but they didnt now where. They were brought to France by the Nazi soldiers. Then they were all placed in a refugee camp. Life is not good in the camp. But they will be taken to a death camp before to long. The workers have made a deal with Anna and the others to be sent to a village named Le Chambon. People in the villiage take care of Anna and the others. I would recomend this book to people that are interested in the Holocaust.
Rating: Summary: Best yet of Carol Matas!! Review: This book has been the best one I have read by Carol Matas. Her story touched my heart deeply, and I will soon pick up the book again and re-read it!
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Holacost Book! Review: This book is a lot like Carol Matas' other book, Daniel's Story! The only difference is that this story is about a girl who is a teenager, a Jew, and is trying to grow up during WWII! It shows what teenagers went through in WWII and how they handled things! It really is a great read!
Rating: Summary: Greater Than Angels Review: This book is a very powerful book. At first I thought it was gonna be another one of those jewish WWII books that have gotten old and unfactual, but this was very interesting. Once i picked it up i couldnt put it down. Its a great book and anyone interested in the holocust should read it. GOOD LUCK GUYS!
