Review: "Spirit Window" was an easy read. Perfect for car trips and last-minute book reports, it contained a definite plot, the characters were believable, and the conclusion was satisfying. Praise for Joyce Sweeny! Keep up the good work.

Summary: My favorite book
Review: although this book is a slightly below my reading level, i love everything about it. It is a very sweet tale abouta young romance and the obstacles they must encounter in order to be accepted. It is also a sad tale, which has me in tears everytime i read it. The thing i like most about the book is the wonderful descriptions used by the author to describe the nature around the characters. Everything is described with such intensity that you can really see what is going on in the story. i recommmed this book to anyone, because it is a simple book that can bring a smile to your face, and a tear to your eye.

Summary: Good book teaching teens about relationships!
Review: Joyce Sweeney's book, The Spirit Window, is a great book. Sweeney does an extraordinary job expressing the feelings Miranda has towards the people in her life-her father, grandmother, mother, and especially Adam. The relationships Miranda has with these people is something to learn from. From spending time with an estranged grandmother to a stubborn father who always thinks he knows best, Miranda has taught me, personally, to always be happy with yourself. To live each day to its fullest, and to always stand up for what you believe in. These philosophies everyone should stop and think about while we go about our busy days and schedules.

Summary: Spirit Window celebrates the spirit of youth
Review: Spirit Window is one of my favorite books, and this says a lot since I read so many. I am sure the book will please readers of all ages alike. The story draws you in, you laugh along with Lila and cry with her. You learn as she does, that the world is not the loving and peaceful place you once thought it to be when you were younger. Spirit Window teaches the lessons of preserving our natural wonders, our relationships and celebrating life in all things. Many people can relate to this book, in more ways possible than for me to list here. The book deals with the struggles of being a teen in life today, as well as racism. I suggest this book to anyone with a passion for someone or something they love.

Summary: A good read if you like nature
Review: The Spirit Window was a good book but it could've been better. The story focused mostly on 15 year old Miranda's relationship with 18 year old Adam and the plot basically revolved around their relationship and Miranda's father disliking Adam. I would recommend this book to people interested in nature, but if you are reading for pleasure, this book would not be a very good choice.

Summary: The Spirit Window really has just that, Spirit!
Review: The Spirit Window was an extremely capivating book. When I read it, it was like I was right there, with Miranda, feeling and experiencing everything. Ms. Sweeney has a way of making you feel for her characters. It makes you want to laugh when they laugh, and cry when they cry. They attraction between Miranda and Adam was very sweet and captivating. I found it touching. From when he scared her to death when they first met to thier symbolic farewell, it was well, wonderful.
