Summary: "Lifestyles of the famous...and the dead."
Review: When 17-year-old Miranda Peterson wins a magazine contest--along with two other girls: Kelly McCormick and Jo Brown--she's absolutely ecstatic. This is her big chance to meet Byron Slater, a popular actor who's allowing three young women to reside at his California estate for one week; and one lucky contest winner gets a part in his upcoming movie. However, when several near-death "accidents" befall Miranda and Byron--such as being poisoned, almost drowned, and nearly driven off a cliff--Miranda begins to have her doubts about staying with Byron, even though he's been incredibly attentive towards her, and even discloses an awful secret--that someone has been threatening him, possibly an obsessed fan.

There are a few parts in "Starstruck" that are a bit far-fetched; for example: Byron's immediate attraction to Miranda. I'm not saying Miranda couldn't attract someone like him, but it was very unlikely; and, besides, Miranda is a minor--something Byron should have kept in mind if he were so worried about bad press. I also didn't understand why Byron would invite her to stay in his house instead of the guesthouse with the other two girls--as well as why he would confide his fears to her about a dangerous stalker--when Miranda could possibly have been that person? Obviously she's not since she's the protagonist, but Byron's decision-making skills--among other things--seemed a little off to begin with. I won't give too much away, but at least one good thing about "Starstruck" is that Miranda hooks up with the guy I thought she should have done so with at the beginning of the book.

Summary: Amazing.....
Review: When Miranda gets the call from "On The Edge" magazine telling her that she's won a contest to stay at movie star Byron Slater's California house and get the chance to star in his next movie, she's thrilled. Byron Slater is the hottest topic of teen action-romances, and to be able to spend the week in his house is unbelievable! As soon as she arrives, she senses that Byron has taking a liking to her and he starts confiding in her. He tells her that he thinks that someone might be stalking him and he feels in danger. Then, the sickening "accidents" start. Or are they accidents at all?.....

I thought this book was great! Richie Tankersley Cusick weaved suspense and romance throughout the book just right. I'll probably end up agreeing with the other reviewers in saying that this wasn't the author's best. This was the first book I read by her, and, standing alone, it seems terrific. But, compared to her other books, it might not seem as good. I'll admit, though, that while the book was suspenseful, it was a little predictable and the killer was, too. Other than that, I loved it! Can't wait to read more by her!.....

Summary: Okay...I suppose
Review: While I am forever a fan of Cusick's books, this one was a disappointment...

I had really hoped that this book would be good when I had bought it because I was under the impression that all, or most of her books, were outstanding. I had read Silent Stalker, Vampire, Fatal Secrets, and a few others before I picked up this book. These books were by far a few of her best, in my opinion and I was very anxious when I did bought this book. I couldn't wait to start it, but as I finished the book in a few hours, I wasn't completely satisfied...

Although the book in general was fine, the ending took me by complete surprise. Not because it was shocking and well thought out, but because it was so blatantly obvious and predictable -_-; I had suspected this character from the beginning and I was hoping that there would be some sort of twist because it seemed so obvious from the start of the events. I tried to convince myself that the ending would turn out as good as the rest of her books, but I was disappointed that everything that I had predicted actually happened.

Anyway, this is an okay book if you're reading one of Richie Tankersley Cusick's books for the first time, BUT if you're a devoted fan of her books, then you should avoid this book if you don't want to be disappointed. Although this book isn't her best, don't think that all of her books aren't good because many of her other books, such as Teacher's Pet, Vampire, Silent Stalker, Fatal Secrets, and The Mall are wonderful and have great plots and twist endings! ^_^

Summary: Hard to rate
Review: While reading this book I felt disappointed in the writing. To me, there was too much background detail and talk about Byron and Nick obviously both wanting the lead character, Miranda. The author also decided to throw in way to many other characters like the agent, the publist, the 2 other girls in the contest, the bodyguard, etc. It was distracting to the story with so many characters in the room trying to talk. The ending was predictable and I wasn't surprised at the end. Some of her other books like "Silent Stalker" and "Someone At The Door" were a better read.
