Rating: Summary: The Best Children's Book Ever Review: I have read this book more times than I can remember, and I still enjoy it each time. As a child, my mother read it to me, and at fifteen, I still love it. I would recomend this book to anybody, old, young, or anywhere inbetween.
Rating: Summary: Great father/daughter (or mother/daughter) movie! Review: I had never read the story, nor seen the movie in the theatre. One day, while flipping channels, I came across it and with my luck, it had just started. Within the first five minutes, I was mesmerized. By the end of the movie, I was in tears! I'm sorry that those who loved the story so much didn't like the movie, but having nothing else to base it on, I LOVED IT!!! (And later on, so did my husband when he saw it). Our daughter is 4 1/2 now, and I can't imagine her growing up without this wonderful film! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: At the risk of being cliche, a female Oliver Twist! Review: A Little Princess happened to come on the channel I was watching while playing with my computer this past Super Bowl Sunday (no, I don't care about the Bowl), and captured my attention for the next two hours. It is the superbly told tale of a little girl enrolled in a strict girls' school, and how she changes the lives of those she touches there. The story is highlighted by the tales she tells of an East Indian fable, which is interwoven into the story of her life, unbeknownst to herself. There is much emotional fare here, and though it is rated G, it is a must see for everyone. The special effects, especially those of the fable sequences, are yet to be surpassed. I am very pleased to find it here at Amazon.com.
Rating: Summary: Best movie I've ever seen Review: Great movie for all ages. Very excited and sad. Miss. Minchin the headmistress don't believe Sara dreams for being a princess. There is more things to put but there are too many. You should try it.
Rating: Summary: This was just the PERFECT book! Review: The story of Sara Crewe is a touching classic novel. Although she was mad, she kept it cool. She remembered the fact that she was, however, a "little princess." I recommend this book to everyone. If you have the time, READ IT!
Rating: Summary: a real disappointment Review: I was eagerly looking forward to seeing the movie as I had loved the novel. the message which was about happiness, contentement and courage something the kids need to be tought was totally sidelined due to the heavy emotional drama. It should be remade keeping close to the original storyline and its message.
Rating: Summary: TOO MELODRAMATIC Review: Horrible movie, felt like kicking the VCR .Should be awarded the worst movie of the decade award.
Rating: Summary: a great movie for any age Review: This movie is wonderful. I have seen it at least 3 times, and finally I got it this Christmas. Eventhough I am a teenager, I love this film. I think it is the imagination and magic that makes it rise above the rest. Each time I have seen it, I couldn't help but cry towards the end. This is one of my favorite movies, and I highly recommend it for anyone.
Rating: Summary: Great story and great acting!!! Review: I love the movie. I think is the best movie I ever seen in my life. If you have a little girl at home you must watch this movie with her. The story line is very simple but heart touching. Is just great!!!
Rating: Summary: One of my all-time favorite books Review: I don't know how many times I read this growing up, but the classic and magical story of Sarah Crewe is one that I love and cherish to this day. Recommended without reservations!
