Rating: Summary: awesome book Review: I know this was the best book I have ever read besides the Bible. If you really on the verge that there is something deeper with God then the answer is in the book. For God can use Books to show you also and man He did it for me. The book shows you that the Holy Spirit isn't an it but also a person in the trinity although they are one. it is like a seed, embreo, and baby, no one is lesser or greater but they make up the baby and are one but yet distinct. This book gives you a description on the Holy Spirit and who He is and that you also can have a personal relationship with Him. To be intimate with Him is to be intimate with God and to really know God. The Holy Spirit is your telephone from God to you and from you to God. It helped me out an awesome great deal and God useed the book to change my life. I couldn't put it down and that is the truth. You have got to read it folks. To sum it up the Holy Spirit gives you the power to preach to live to endure hardships and persecution. He is the powerhouse of God in you although He is God because He is a part of God. He is the Spirit of God abiding in you helping you teaching you. Well find out for yourselfs don't want to spoil it
Rating: Summary: Grieving the Holy Spirit Review: While on the outside Benny Hinn looks quite prosperous (both healthy as well as financially), the inside of his theological system is full of dead men's bones. Just because a man is successful according to the standards of the world (i.e. the largeness of this man's "ministry" and even the converts who claim to be changed) does not make him a spiritual success. "Good Morning Holy Spirit" is so full of doctrinal errors...every true believer born of the spirit should be able to see right through it. From his corrupt view of the Trinity to the idea that God wants everyone to be prosperous, it should be made known that getting involved with Hinn's movement can be very dangerous to one's spiritual growth. For those truly interesting in having a healthy relationship with God and leaving the diet of cotton candy and Milk Duds, try something like "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis. It would be so much better for your health!
Rating: Summary: A slightly more balanced view Review: I read this book about a year ago and I admit I did enjoy it. However, I did not experience all the things that I had hoped for when I bought it i.e. closer relationship with Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Father etc. Nor did I see the power start to flow in my life. I have been a Christian pretty much all my life and have parents who were involved in or saw first hand amazing miracles, deliverances from demons and other things. However, I have grown up in a different generation. The Charismatic movement and the Indonesian Revival has long since past. We need something new for a new generation. That is why I had hoped Benny Hinn's book would have aided me with what I am searching for. A closer relationship with God, and an experience first hand of the power of God. I have heard what Benny Hinn has to say about the Trinity, and the 9 Spirits of God and I know a lot of his teaching. He is someone I respect. However, most people judge, based on what a friend of a friend of theirs heard. You may call him a heretic if you want, but at least don't do it without some amount of first-hand factual knowledge of him to back up what you say. He has never said that there is no Trinity. To do so would be obvious heresy. However he has talked about the 9 Spirits of God which appear in the Book of Revelation. However, you must understand what he is trying to say. Anyway, this is a book review and not a discourse on the validity of Benny Hinn. In a nutshell, you can split the book up into two halves. The first half is like a brief biography of his life, where he was born, catholic upbringing, becoming a born again Christian and experiencing the "baptism of the Holy Spirit" (Charismatic understanding). And continues on to how he experiences the presence of the Holy Spirit in his daily life. It is his testimony, and his experience of how the Holy Spirit started relating with him. The second half of the book starts concentrating more on the Biblical theology behind what he says. i.e. mainly a more intimate fellowship of the Holy Spirit and the power of God. However, what is stressed more is the active relationship that any Christian can have with the Holy Spirit. Readers will see the Hinn points out that the Holy Spirit will always glorify Christ and never Himself, as Hinn provides examples of mistakes he has made with the Holy Spirit. One example is when he has had such a great time with the Holy Spirit, that he starts praising Him and glorifying Him. The Spirit then stops him in his tracks and corrects him on who he should be glorifying. One can tell that a few reviewers here have never actually read the book but have merely scanned it or maybe just looked at the chapter titles on the contents page while in a bookshop. And this is how the Second half carries on, providing a few eye-opening Biblical concepts on the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Him. Thoroughly grounded in the Word of God, I would highly recommend this book for those seeking to understand our relationship with the Holy Spirit to a higher degree. I would give it 5 stars for being a good book. However, the book promises that "you too can experience the same". And I would give it a 1 star for failing that promise. One must understand however, that different people may experience things differently, as others who have reviewed can testify to this fact. Do not put your hopes in a book. Ultimately, if you want everything the book says is available, you must have faith in God...and wait. To all sceptics, remain open. And to all believers, don't beleieve everything you hear, but test everything by the Word of God.
Rating: Summary: Can you give it zero stars? God can even use heretics.... Review: I can tell just from the reviews that Benny Hinn is one of those guys who truly HAVE touched lives and who HAVE brought people to faith - true faith in God. Does this mean that Benny Hinn himself has a worthy ministry? By no means! God even used the King of Babylon to show a lesson to the people of Israel. And the apostle Paul says that even when people are preaching with bad intentions, as long as the gospel is preached, then the Lord is working. Now, Benny Hinn is simply a heretic. He says that there is no, Trinity, but God is made up of nine. He prophesies things that don't happen (e.g., that God would destroy all homosexuals in 1994). He has a ministry on TV which drips with bad theology and is devoid of any humility. So, all I can say is that God works through Benny Hinn IN SPITE of his severe failings for which he should be removed from the pulpit. I would also venture to say that, with all the people he has brought to the Lord, he still does more harm than good for the faith. People need to learn to think more critically and those who read the book and think it is good seem unable to do so.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read! Review: This book is what anyone-who wants to know God more-has to read! It's not just knowing about God, it's about knowing God. And it's possible through Jesus (by merely accepting that Jesus died for you and has incredible plans for you) and the Holy Spirit by living each day in the presence of God through His Holy Spirit. Asking the Holy Spirit to guide you and enlighten you as you read God's Word, The Bible. The Holy Spirit is a person Who teaches, enlightens, corrects, guides, encourages, comforts, etc.etc.etc. Living isn't living without knowing Him! My relationship with God has exploded in growth and meaning by just surrendering to the Holy Spirit. No one can live without Him!
Rating: Summary: good mornig holy spirit Review: THE WAY THE HOLY SPIRT WORKS IN US IS SO AMAZING I COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN! IT IS A STORY OF JOY, LOVE, HAPPINESS, AND STRUGGLE FOR A YOUNG MAN THE LORD CALLED UPON TO SERVE AND FOLLOW HIM . I HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND I FEEL THIS BOOK HAS MADE A CHANGE IN MY LIFE. I RECENTLY WENT TO HIS CRUSADE IN PHILADELPHIA, PA IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER FORGET AND LONG TO FEEL AGAIN. MY MOTHER RECEIVED A MIRACLE AND THE WOMAN SITTING NEXT TO ME WAS HEALED OF BREAST CANCER! THE FEELING OF CHRIST IN THE MIDST OF THAT SERVICE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL,WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE! I FEEL BENNY HINN ISA REAL INSTRUMENT OF GOD FILLED WITH THE PEACE OF CHRIST!
Rating: Summary: Powerful Message Review: What a blessing this book is! Benny Hinn is such a mighty man of God, and a powerful teacher. Though I was born again as a small child, I long to know the Holy Spirit more intimately. Pastor Benny teaches Christians how to do just that and in such a gentle way. There is nothing self-praising or arrogant about this man...he has been blessed with such an anointing and gives our wonderful Lord all the credit. If you hunger for more of God's presence in your life, I urge you to read this book immediately. It really will change your life. Let the message sink deep into your heart and yield all to our Master. I thank God for all Pastor Benny has been in my life and continues to be.
Rating: Summary: An Incredible Introduction to the Holy Spirit! Review: This book is an absolute must-read for the born-again beleiver. Before I read "Good Morning,Holy Spirit",I was so confused about the concept of the Holy Trinity; now it makes complete sense. I was saved watching "This is Your Day" on Trinity Broadcasting Network and I am so grateful to Benny Hinn,Paul and Jan Crouch, and all others who have made so many sacrifices to get this Holy Word out to the millions. "Good Morning,Holy Spirit" is a book which aids in the spiritual growth of one who has been born again in the Spirit. I would recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Total tripe Review: What an absurd interpretation of the Holy Spirit. Where does he gets this stuff? The answer as is obvious from other reviews is that he or they "experienced it". Historical christianity teaches that scripture is Gods word and until Hinn can prove to me that Jesus went around slaying people, and used the Holy Spirit like some kind of hypnotist, I will still call this tripe, there is very little about this book to be called christian. Humility does not seem to exist in this mans world. Jesus on the other hand had a different view to life. It's really each persons choice - model your christianity on Christ or on Hinn or any other preacher. This stuff belongs in the cult section. MATTHEW 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Rating: Summary: Valuable Testimony for Just-Born-Again Christians Review: When I became a Born-Again Christian five years ago, this book was of enormous help in understanding the dramatic and supernatural happenings in my life. Hinn's vivid and detailed description of the Holy Spirit was proven accurate to me by my own experiences, and provided much spiritual comfort and guidance that I needed at the time. Since then, I did see his TV show, and I could not believe that the TV-preacher apparently suffering from attention-deficit syndrome is the same person who wrote the book. Oh well, at least I found God's grace shining through his writings in this book. Check it out for yourself and Praise God.
