Rating: 4 stars
Summary: good book, reused plot..........
Review: "Secret Admirer" starts out boring. The book is about Penny Ayala, the editor-in-chief of the Sweet Valley High newspaper. She decides to have someone start up a personals column, and in the end decides to write her own personals ad, hoping that there is a guy at Sweet Valley High for her. Instead, a group of obnoxious guys decide to invent a guy named "Jamie" to answer her ad. But one of the guys decides that he really likes Penny, and would like to meet her. After she gets stood up for the first time, Penny is surprised about the guy who is the real voice behind Jamie--it's not who she expects.
Meanwhile, Jessica Wakefield and Lila Fowler are also doing personal ads with the hope of finding the perfect college guy. They both find a "hot" guy, but even they are in for a surprise. Once you get started reading this book, it gets very interesting. I gave it four stars though, because it is a reused plot that appears again in the Sweet Valley Twins series--and I read those books first.

Summary: This one needs to be about Jess and Lila
Review: The whole Penny thing was overdone. I mean, we totally knew what was going to happen with her and "Jamie" once you started reading. I still won't spoil it for you though. I personally loved the Jess/Lila plot- how they both decide to use the SVH personals column to find a guy and it becomes a competition. Hilarious plot, should have been the main plot instead of that stupid Penny/ Jamie plot, which is boring. For laughs, read this book, especially the Jess/Lila part and the Liz vs. Kirk (Kirk the Jerk.).

Summary: Racist Author
Review: This book is about boring Penny placing a personal ad.I was horrified and betrayed by this novel,as the author-Kate William-spends the entire book making degrading jokes about Aussies...It's just mean....

Summary: Secret feelings...
Review: When Penny Ayala, the studious and shy editor of The Oracle, decides to set up a lonely hearts column it becomes an immediate hit with the students of Sweet Valley High. Seeing this as an opportunity to improve her own love life, she sends out a personal ad herself, after being persuaded by her friends Olivia Davidson and Elizabeth Wakefield. After receiving a few 'jokey' replies, Penny becomes fond of a guy who wishes to meet her at the mall. Taking care with her appearance, Penny waits in vain for her dream guy, who stands her up. Her hopes dashed, Penny goes home and cries herself to sleep. The next day, the ever-helpful Elizabeth Wakefield is on hand to solve the mystery as she realises that a seemingly nice guy called Neil Freemont and arrogant Kirk Anderson along with a few of Kirk's cronies are behind this hoax. She is surprised to see Neil going along with Kirk 's jerky plans but it seems that secretly, Neil does have a crush on Penny but is to shy to reveal it because, he is afraid of what the guys will think. Will Elizabeth cause further damage to Penny's oh-so-precious heart by revealing that she was in fact the victim of a cruel prank? Or will Neil finally get the courage to stop acting like a sheep and make up his own mind about whom he likes?
