Summary: Pretty Good
Review: This book was pretty good, but didn't have enough about horses! The car accident was discribed very well. And I hope that Ms. Bryant talks more about the people at Bar None, Belle, and Phil, because they all seemed to be some of my favorite characters, but were left out in this books. That is why I only gave this book 4 stars. I was suprised that Stevie would go get a job right after she got her drivers license. I would have thought she would have waited, but I was never able to perdict the things she would do in the Saddle Club books, so I probably won't in the Pine Hollow books either! I hope that Bonnie Bryant continue this series, but brings back some of the old characters. I have just finish reading Pine Hollow 11, Ground Training, and would highly recomend the rest of the series.

Summary: Unfortunate Misunderstanding
Review: To those of you who are wondering, "Where are the horses," think about it. I personally love the Saddle Club...it's a great book to relax to, to feel happy about. But really, Pine Hollow is a more mature series, one that taps into reality more than the Saddle Club. In real life, problems can't be solved by one thing: horses. In real life, things are hard, complicated, and unfair. Life is, at times, like a soap opera. It doesn't revolve around horses. If you want that kind of story, then the Saddle Club is still there...but if you want a more down-to-earth series with more realistic occurings, then Pine Hollow is for you. For someone who made a comparison of Pine Hollow and Sweet Valley High, where have you been? Car accidents happen. Witnessing 800,000,001 murders throughout your whole lifetime doesn't. All in all, Pine Hollow is a great series that will appeal to many people.

Summary: It's good, not great, but good.
Review: We're the Stable Club, and we're horse-crazy. We've read lot a lot of the Saddle Club and we've loved it. We think that Bonnie Bryant could of tried a little harder by adding more horse parts and taking out some of the romance. (No offense Ms. Bryant!)We're twelve years old and we've had the Stable Club for about two years. We'll always remember the Saddle Club as if they were real. What we love about the Saddle Club is Stevie's craziness, Carol's horse-craziness, and Lisa's common sence. And that's how it should be in the Pine Hollow books. We can't believe that Stevie's given up pranks! And they need to spend MORE time with their horses. Even though Stevie's older, we still think that she should go to TD's and order a crazy ice cream concoction. Where the heck is Max? Bonnie, if you read this, please consider these suggestions. Other than this, the book is great!!!!

Summary: HOW COULD THEY!!!!!????
Review: What happened to the saddle club? The rules were must love horses and must help each other! They broke both these rules many times in this book? In the saddle club, it seemed like Carole, Stevie and Lisa were my best friends, in this book it seemed like they were my worst ememys! Who wrote this book? not Bonnie Bryant! I just know that after 111 touching, exciting, funny horsey books she couldn't just throw it all away! What happened? It's like a nightmare! I've been reading the saddle club for years, and this is about totally different people. No one could go from a wonderful person to the most terrible person in the world in a few years? Lisa dating Alex? Veronica married? Stevie giving up practical jokes? Carole selling Starlight? I THINK NOT!! A trillion thumbs down!!

Summary: What has happened to the Saddle Club?
Review: What happened, it's like the Saddle Club doesn't even exist anymore. I don't think they mentioned it even once. It's as if Stevie, Carole, and Lisa think of their club as some stupid little childish thing they had when they were young. I found it so much harder to get into then the Saddle Club, which I could usually never put down. I mean, in the entire book, they went riding what, like, 3 times! It's as if they're not even horse crazy any more, and riding is just something they do when they "feel" like it. If I wanted to read about the kind of stuff in Pine Hollow I would have picked up a copy of Sweet Valley high instead. The thing I liked most about the Saddle Club was that it was actually about horses, not kids that just happened to ride. The Saddle Club reminded me of how much i love horses and riding, but then reading Pine Hollow was a total let down, it's turned into those so called horse books i hate. Pine Hollow, what an Ironic name, seeing that half of the time they aren't even at Pine Hollow. When I read the two other books, I thought that maybe they were going to be a bit better, but they weren't. I mean, Stevie, whom was my absolute favorite character, has given up practical joking, and that was one of the things I loved most. Veronica doesn't even ride anymore, what about their rivalry with her that always gets them all into trouble? I'm so tired about hearing about Stevie and the accident, can't Ms. Bryant find something new to write about? And Alex and Lisa's relationship, it's so pathetic, they are practically obsessed with each other. Where is Horse Wise, and the group lessons? Will Lisa ever get a horse? What happened to Samson, Kate Devine and John Brightstar, Nigel and Dorothy, and the Pony Tails? It seems that Ms. Bryant has left out the most important part of her stories, the Saddle Club and their deep friendship and love for horses. It's like the girls don't have time for either of the two. I hope she realizes this and starts thinking more about her stories.

Summary: Finally, A Series More on My Level
Review: When I was in second grade, I started reading the Saddle Club series by Bonnie Bryant. There were a total of about 15 books about Stevie, Carol, and Lisa. I loved the books. I kept reading them and buying them as they came out. When I was a older and in 5th and 6th grade I was getting a little old for the series and was reading them more and more sparingly. Now Im in 8th grade and hardly ever read the Saddle Club. They were just to juvenile and never got older. But when Pine Hollow: The Long Ride came out, I was very excited and couldn't wait to read it. I finally got my hands on it and couldn't stop reading. It had much more of a plot than the other books and was definitely more up to my standards. It also contained other things besides horses to make the book more interesting. I loved every word of it. Thanks Mrs. Bryant and keep up the good work!
