Summary: wow
Review: This was some book

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: witty and entertaining
Review: Being a Steinbeck fan, I was ecstatic when my friend let me borrow his copy of Tortilla Flat. It is a wonderful tale (or perhaps many isolated events organized in somewhat of an order) of friendship. In many cases, it is very ironic, and the most obvious choices are never taken by the fellows in this book, but that is what makes it so funny to read. It is an excellent book, and I highly recommend it if you are in the mood for something a bit humorous.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Brilliant, but slow
Review: Steinbeck's novel is extreemly clever. It is very funny, with a sharp satirical edge. However the plot is very slow moveing. It is, however, enjoyable simply to follow the adventures of the colourful characters and apreciate the rich language.

Summary: Didn't identify with these guys
Review: I've read a lot of Steinbeck this year, and though his command for the language is wonderful even if he were writing a clothing catalogue, I didn't understand why these people were so "cool." It was like Cannery Row but with an ending that suited them.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Steinbeck's Many Awesome Novels!
Review: I read this book a while ago, but I still savor it. Probably one of the funniest novels ever; though Steinbeck has an important message to send, I couldn't get over the mere beauty of his vivid, symapathy-collecting characters.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A GREAT BOOK-- great friendships and great love for others
Review: i have read this book a million times. I love it and i believe that everyone should read it at some point in their lives. I am not one that would read a book a lot but this book i actually enjoyed. Also, I enjoy many of John Steinbeck's books. This is a number one book and I believe that it teaches many thing to children and also adults. There are not many books that can be enjoyed by adults and children but this book is.

Summary: Paisanos will warm your heart!
Review: This is my favorite John Steinbeck novel. The drunken revelry and personalities of the characters in this book are great. I loved every minute of it. Give it a try.
