Rating: Summary: P.S. I Love You Review: This book was very threatening to society and exposed a very personal side of Mariah's life. Her and Da'Book cooked up a whole lot of controversy with their famous words. Mariah's belching was also very unattractive and garlic-y.
Rating: Summary: A Touching Book Review: This book was very well written and a great choice to kick off the series!! You fall in love with the characters very easily. Mariah is a teenager living to write a romance novel, but she hasn't got the experience! So when she moves into Palm Springs and meets the adorable, loveable Paul Strobe she finds herself head over heels. But Paul gets sick and may end up dying.....
Rating: Summary: A Bittersweet Teenage Romance Review: What Paul and Mariah had may have lasted if Paul did not get sick. What a tragic ending. This is one of the first books I have read when I was 13. The dialogue and pacing is ok. Some parts were funny, too. (maybe to balance off the tragic ending) Touching and sweet.I'm sorry though that I lent it to someone and was not able to get it back.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely the best book that I have ever read Review: When growing up I read alot of books. I lived out in the country so during the summer that was all that I did. My best friend bought me this book many years ago, and I'm sorry to say that I lost it while I was living with my aunt. It is a beautiful story. You can really connect with the main characters. I cried while I read it, it was so touching. I don't remember many books that I would really like to read over and over but this is one that I am glad that I am able to find again. Books just aren't written the same way anymore. And too bad that they aren't.
Rating: Summary: This book got to me! Review: When I was 12 years old, the librarian from my school recomended that I read P.S. I Love You. I cried as I read it, for I was truly involved with the plot and with Mariah's feelings. Now I'm 23 years old, and ever since i returned the book to the library i've been wanting to get it back and read it again, or at least have it within my personal collection. Since I was so young when I read it, I didn't remember the author's name, and it isn't until now, after visiting so many libraries and websites, that I find it, and you can't imagine how thrilled I am, for it has truly been a dead end search until now. All I can say is that now I'm buying the book, and I'm not letting it go again. I'll make sure my daughters (if I have any) read it and I truly recomend it to any preteen girl. It may not be the most surprising plot, and as a young adult I may not find it as wonderful as I did then, but I'm sure that what I felt had a lot to do with my age. I think that the most importatn thing that I learned at such a young age when I read it, is that falling in love isn't all about knights and princesses on towers. In a way it gives young girls a glimpse of reality, without hurting them emotionally. On the contrary, it may be the first real emotions they might feel regarding love. I'm so glad I finally found it!!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful book Review: When I was about 15 I read the story for the first (of many) times. Over ten years has passed, and yet it remains one of my very favorite romance novels. Thank you for writing a wonderful book, Ms. Conklin. You're right-- teenagers can handle dealing with tough issues like illness and mortality. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Rating: Summary: I will always remember this book.... Review: When I was in 9th grade a friend of mine gave me this book, I didn't even ask for it she just said here read this and let me know what you think. So I read it and I laughed, cried, and fell in love with the characters. I live in Orange County Calif. and I could imagine everything they were talking about even Palm Springs. Im 27 now, I must have read that book at least 20 times. Im here on amazon to purchase another because I gave it to another friend years ago and she gave it to anohter and so on. That book takes me to another place and I will always remember how special this book means to me.
