Summary: Well written with bad morals
Review: This book is well written, with a good story line. But I find it very troubling that the main character of the story is immoral and never feels bad about it throughout the whole book!! An author with this talent should write better books for all of us.

Summary: Suspenseful!!!!!!!!!
Review: This book walked away with my heart. The touching love story was only one reason why I liked this book. It had action and adventure, too. I think that anyone could get into this book. It had just the right mixture of everything. Birle and Orien were both interesting characters.

Summary: Pretty good book, a somewhat oddly explained ending
Review: This book was altogether pretty good. I finished it all in one day because the plot was rich and interesting. I only think that the few chapters before the conclusion should be re written or reworded because before the big happy ending, it's rather a disapointment the way Voigt words it ( i.e. she makes you feel disappointed for a few chapters and makes you want to skip ahead to the "good part" Good book but not exactly worth reading more than once.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!
Review: This book was one of the best books I have ever read. It was full of romance, adventure, and more than one near death experience. My heart wrenched when Birle's did and I felt Orien's pain and loneliness. Although this is only the second book that I have read by Cynthia Voigt, I have already added her to my list of favorite authors. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy with a strong, ambitious, unpredictable lead character.

Summary: Good book, rather oddly written ending
Review: This book was very good, with the exeption of the few chapters before the end. I finished this book in one day because I could not put it down. It was very entertaining and rewarding but the few chapters before the conclusion makes one feel disappointed and dispaired at the main character's (Birle's) disition (i.e. you find yourself skipping to the end in hopes of finding the "good part" at the end of a fairy tale. I think that the chapters before the last should be rewritten or re-worded. A good book to enjoy, but not worth reading too many times.

Summary: One of my favorite books!
Review: This book was wonderful! Any of you out there that are fretting over the fact that this in a series, 'Jackaroo, On Fortunes wheel, ext.' don't worry about it. These books are just barely woven together. They do include decsendants of past characters, but not enough to fret over.

Summary: On Fortune's Wheel Book Review
Review: This novel, written by Cynthia Voigt, explores the adventures and dangers experienced by an adolescent girl named Birle, and her companion Orien. Voigt did a good job of describing the two protagonists in an indirect way. She did an excellent job of portraying their round and very dynamic personalities throughout the entire novel. Voigt keeps you very intrigued throughout by constantly throwing conflicts at the two protagonists. By the end of the novel, both Birle and Orien have conflicted in many ways. They have conflicted in Man versus Man, Man versus Nature, Man versus Self, and Man versus Fate. All these conflicts make it very interesting to see if the two protagonists will come out of them and succeed. With all the conflict the protagonists develop very round, dynamic personalities and you feel as though you know them personally. The novel is a real page-turner, and keeps the reader wanting more!

Summary: Another Good Read from Cynthia Voigt
Review: This story is told so skillfully, you forget you are reading. It's everyone's dream, to grow into an individual, richer for your experiences, yet to find a place in the world.
