Rating: Summary: It's about time LIZ Review: I really loved this book. The SVU series were getting really boring with the same old crap!! In this book, a big misunderstanding (involving Jess trying to protect Liz and keep her from losing her virginity to the wrong guy) leaves Elizabeth no other altenative than to leave....not just Sweet Valley, but the whole damn country!!! After all she got accepted to the University of London on scholarship, but when she gets there she realizes she didn't send back her reply form. Now she is broke, has no place to stay or go, and by chance stumbles upon a job working in a mansion for rayalty (just lords and ladies nothing big). She meets new people, and lives a different life. Why do I like this book? It is a change of pace. Liz is finally growing up. This book is mature, funny, and it's just really good. I like the new characters, especially Vanessa, she is kinda mean but you'll find out why later on in the series. All in all , this book is funny, good, and a real good addition to the Liz and Jess saga.
Rating: Summary: Excellent SVU book Review: I think this was a great book to read. I enjoyed it a lot. It had real issues that teens all over the world deal with as today. I think Francine Pascal did a terrific job creating this book. I think the charcters in this book sound like real people sometimes like our friends and family. I hope she will keep up the wonderful job she was doing. Francine is my farvorite author to pass my eye. Elizabeth is my favorite charcter. I give this book two thumbs up & five stars. I encourage a lot of peolple to read this book and tell me what they think about it & why they think that way about the book. I believe everyone can have their own a opinion about this book.
Rating: Summary: Not that Bad Review: I used to read the short Sweet Valley Twins books when I was in about third grade, but I could never get into the SVU books. I was pretty excited to read this one though ~ the plot seemed to be more about Elizabeth and her problems than about boys. Yeah, it *is* about Elizabeth, but, it's also about boys (and those parts got real annoying - real fast). After Elizabeth catches her twin sister Jessica and her boyfriend Sam kissing one night, she bolts with the Jeep. SHe has no idea where she's going, she just knows she has to get away from Jessica and Sam. Elizabeth ends up at a diner in Springfield, Illinois...where she meets Daphne, and forms a great friendship. After serious consideration, Elizabeth decides to go to University of London (she got a full-ride to study there for a semseter), but when she gets there - nothing goes right. Yeah, this book was actually good, better than the SVU books, but not the best. It became really predictable by the end, because Elizabeth keeps getting into problem after problem. It is good escapist reading though. Overall grade - B
Rating: Summary: Where's the real Sweet Valley? Review: I'm going to be totally honest here: the book was very good, and I'd recommend it to any SVU fan, but otherwise I'm really unhappy with the turn that the series has taken lately. I understand that Francine has to keep the reality going, but in all honesty I miss Nick, Izzy, Danny, Winston, and the way that things used to be for the twins. Call me sentimental, but it's just the way I am. The Elizabeth series might be exciting, especially with Max, Vanessa, Alice, and Sarah Pennington there to spruce it up, but it's still not Sweet Valley. And what bugs me is that we are not going to get to hear about Jess or the other characters at this rate, either. Does anyone feel this way? Please write me a message and let me know if you agree!
Rating: Summary: Interesting setting, but plot kind of trite... Review: Interesting start of having Liz headed to London for her third year of college, but it kind of went downhill from there. I would have had Liz still get into London University & go on to study there rather than just have her wander around helplessly in the British rain without a cent to her name. And I was kind of disappointed with her parents in this book; they bailed Jessica out as usual (I can see them LOANING her money), then came after Liz at the airport & ordered her to come back "home" as if she were still a child, then lectured her. Maybe it wasn't the right thing for Liz to leave Jessica stranded, but I really think if the twins are almost twenty & adults, Ned & Alice should have stayed out of it & let them resolve the conflict on their own, even if it meant Liz flying off to London for a few months.
Rating: Summary: Liz, it's about time! Review: Liz CANNOT spend the rest of her life attached to the hip of Jessica and staying in the vicinity of Sweet Valley! Since I've always wanted to go to London, I really feel like doing what Elizabeth does-- just hop on a plane and go there. However I wouldn't want to be cut off from the university like she does. However.... I think it's about time that Liz grew up. Even though we all know that this is Sweet Valley series and she's going to give up everything she's learned and gained from this last second trip to head back to Sweet Valley with Jessica, this is still a good thing. Something new that she's always wanted to do! And little girls don't stay on their parent's good side all the time. One of the things that made me sick in the SVH is the fact that Liz never fought with her parents....EVER! Now in this book she hangs up on them for the first time (oh my) and then tells them off at O'Hare when she boards her plane for London!! It's about bloody time, I'd say. I also think it's about time for Ned and Alice to stop depending on Liz to hold up the "responsible" end of the Jess/Liz twinship. The reason Jess is broke is because she's not (and never has been) responsible with her money. The reason she can't get help at the hospital is because she isn't responsible enough to carry her own insurance card. It's about time for Jessica to grow up and learn how to take care of herself and stop depending on Liz for everything. (Yes, I know she saved Liz from Sam. Chalk one up for Jess.) But Liz needs to get out of the country and stand on her own two feet for once. Live life. Do her own thing. Get some space of her own and find out who Elizabeth Wakefield really is, not just the other half of Jessica.

Rating: Summary: Finally Liz! Review: liz has alays been a good person. she's smart intelligent, and a caring person.. and mabe a little bit of a pushover.. however, she needs to grow up, and become her own person..and she also needs to find someone to love her and cherish her for the person that she is...overall, this book was good, and i can hardly wait for the next one..
Rating: Summary: Good Book! Review: OK first of all I would like to say that this was a very good book that really made you feel what the character was feel'in. Like what Liz had to go through on her way getting to London. Along the way she had to face money shortages, no friends, and no where to go. So I very much recommend you to read this book.
Rating: Summary: What happened? Review: Okay. First of all I like to say that this book is definitely a change. But, HELLO? I never knew Elizabeth was a crybaby! I mean, if she made the choice to leave SVU and go to London, then she made the right choice. Even my sister, who is a Sweet Valley maniac, agreed with me that this book was definitely stupid. Elizabeth cries in almost every chapter. If you ask me, it's annoying. It's her fault if she didn't reply before the date. And why make her a scullery maid? If the author wanted to give her a lousy job, then why not make her something like a nanny?
