Summary: The Ultimate Girl's Story
Review: Anne of Green Gables was my dearest friend as a child. Full of life and imagination, something sadly lacking today. My only regret in the series was that there were no more books. If you like things with a touch more of "the mystic", check out the Emily of New Moon trilogy. Both Anne & Emily show a girl what she can truly aspire to- no matter what your background!

Summary: One of the best books ever written!!!
Review: Nearly thirty years after I first read it, Anne of Green Gables remains one of my favorite books of all time. It can still move me to tears, and leave me feeling happy to be alive. Anne is an extraordinary character: strong, compassionate, imaginitive, wistful, brilliant, funny, spirited and kind. She is an inspiring example for girls and women of every generation. The other characters: gentle Matthew, stern (but good underneath) Marilla, loveable Gilbert, nosy Mrs. Lind and all the rest are equally unforgettable, and the story line is fast-paced and fascinating. The Anne books should stay in print forever!

Summary: WONDERFUL!!!!!!
Review: This is a wonderful book. It made me laugh and cry. You can help laughing at Anne's crazy imagination and escapades. It is a book everyone can relate to. We've all felt like Anne at one time or another. Anne goes from a homely young girl to a beautiful young woman. She is an example of every girl's inner self. She finds true love and learns to love herself at the same time. How can I not give it 5 stars.

Summary: This book must be read by all.
Review: Anne of Green Gables is a story of an 11 year old girl, who's parents died of fever, when she was a baby. She has been in an orphanage, and two other homes before she comes to Green Gables. Here she meets her first "bosom friend", and first real enemy. She is very smart but has a high temper. This is a story of romance, thankfulness, and great determination, tied together with quite a bit of humor. It will be loved by the whole family.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK IN THE UNIVERSE.............
Review: Anne of Green Gables is the best book. Romantic, funny, and sad. I recommend this book to everybody in the world and hope you enjoy it. If possible I would have given it 7 stars!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: you feel like you're there
Review: A look at how a girl from the late 19th century would grow up under the care of an adopted mother. See how lively and imaginative Anne can be (spelled with an "E")! Her strong comitment to friendship and hope for the future will make you stop and think. Her mistakes and faults are very humorous. Although I found this book to have inspiring characters, I prefer books that have one main problem, instead of many small problems. Overall, I found this book deeply inspiring by the way Anne was so independent and didn't let anyone tell her otherwise.

Summary: Pure delight!!
Review: When I first read this book many years back, I loved it, and was sad for it to end when I finished reading it. I loved every single part of it...I simply couldn't put it down. Anne is such a character...you can't help liking her more and more, and wishing that she was your own "bosom friend" just as I did. While reading, I was transported back to that time, and I could just see Avonlea and Green Gables, the school which Anne studied in, and I could see Diana and Miss Stacy and Gilbert just as if they were my own friends.

I loved this book, and read it many times over again after I first picked it up, and it still delighted me. Lucy Maud Montgomery is a stunning writer, and I believe that she must have been like Anne, for no one could create such a realistic character and write everything that poured out of Anne's mouth...her made up stories, the things that she she thought of, her wild yet delightful imagination...all in all, Anne of Green Gables is one of the finest books I've ever read, and were ever written. I strongly recommend it to anyone, old or young. Everyone can relate to Anne and she could make you smile like she did for me.

Summary: How dare anyone give this less than 5 stars
Review: I'm 18 years old and I read my first Anne book when I was 8 after begging my mother to buy it for me. After that there were many trips to the library to read all the Anne Books and as many other LMM books as possible. I read them over and over, I read them out loud to my little sisters. Any time when I'm down I jusst get this book and read it and it does me a world of good. I mean, it is just so magical. There is something about the way LMM writes that makes you feel and live the story. I hated Gilbert, I cried when Matthew dies, I cheered Anne when once again she refused to talk to Gilbert, then I loved him. Every child should be encouraged to read this book, it is just the best childrens book ever which can be enjoyed by everyone.
