Rating: Summary: An Innocent Love Story Review: Anne of Green Gables is great because it tells of a pure love story. In a day and age where youngsters are being fed a lot of "trash love" by the media where people are just into immediate gratification, the book shows them what pure love is and how it develops.

Montgomery takes you on an adventure to Green Gables,a wonderous place filled with many trees, streams, etc.{When Montgomery uses such vivid adjectives she makes the setting come alive, like you could actually go to Green Gables} When Anne is on her way to Green Gables she imagines what this new place is going to be like. This is the part pf the story where Montgomery's talent shines. When Anne describes a tree with white blossoms she say,"a bride in all white with a lovely misty veil."Montgomery's use of vivid adjectives makes the book seem real.Another use of her adjectives makes the book awesome
Rating: Summary: A Girl's Childhood Need Review: I rate this book 5 stars.I believe that all little girls should read this novel. Its a wonderful book and it is unbelievably hard to put down.Anne of Green Gables is truly the best book I have read my entire life and I wish there were sequals, because I'd read them as well.I recomend that everyone should read this story. It teaches as you read that all (little) girls make mistakes and also teaches you the "neceities" of a young girl's life.
Rating: Summary: "Mistakes" like Anne should - and in this book do - happen! Review: Lucy Maud Montgomery kept a scrap book full of newpaper clippings to spark of ideas. One day she looked in and a news item captured her immagination - Orphan Girl sent to Elderly Couple instead of Boy. Thus Anne (with an "e" - Lucy Maud insisted) was born. This book is one of my absolute favourites - red-haired, freckled Anne Shirly, with a hot little temper and knack for getting into the most astounding scrapes, bursts into the lives of Mathew and Marilla Cuthbert, bringing love, laughter and girlish dreams into thier home, Green Gables.
