Summary: Very Realistic!, and a bit creepy at times
Review: It was so amazing, it was like Caloline B. Cooney had gone through this herself and just written her feelings and memories but i know it is fiction. My absolute favorite part was when Laura (I think that was her name) told about England and explained all about her brother and herself. I didnt like the ending of the chapter that the boy died, not that it wasnt written well but it was a little gruesome. Also, the part where the policeman or someone told the mother Billy was all bits and peices when she asked to see him. Thet was a little to much detail when Laura was thinking about his brains scattered on the wall too.Overall, though this book was very realistic and easy to believe.

Summary: Unsuitable for children of any age
Review: I have been on the school PTA for 4 years now, and as anAmerican Muslim, I find the book "The Terrorist,"offensive. This is stereotypical material, incorrectly &negatively portrays the Islamic religion. Not Suitable for children ofany age...

Summary: hhhhhmmmmmmm
Review: i also found this book very sterotypical. i knew the terriost was going to end up to be a muslim very early in the story altough i was really hoping by maybe some chance the muslims wouldn't be the "bad guys" this time a along.I liked the book and all but I think the book would of been way better is she actually did a bit of research because She apparently has no idea how modern muslims live. Because lots of muslim girls get educated go to college get jobs date and marry guys the want and dont dress head to toe.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Clooney's use of the English language is more than acceptable, but it is evident that she knows next to nothing about the Middle East, Islam or even terrorists. Any book which reinforces ignorance in such a manner can not be recommended, especially for children.

Summary: Very Nice
Review: This book wasn't your usual happily ever after kind of thing. Nor was it one of those books that take forever to get into. It drew me in right from the beginning and even after Billy's murder I couldn't believe it. this kind of stuff doesn't usually happen in your ordinary young adult book. I am one of those naive Americans. We are so happy-go-lucky here and we forget about all of those other poor countries out there that absolutely hate each other. We can't take our free speech overseas and use it in the same way. This book made me realize that. Simply asking two people in London where they're from can cause problems. It made me realize how lucky us Americans have it, but how ignorant we are in the knowledge of other cultures. To go to school with kids who's parents arrange their marriages or make them ride around in bulletproof limos really did blow my mind. Terrorism is so horrible and destroys so many people and often they are just statements wanting to be made by terroristic groups. They don't care who the victim is, innocent or guilty, they just want their message gotten across. Another reason that I enjoyed this book was because it didn't need to use a romance to carry it along. I've noticed that most books do that. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good romance, but it was kind of surprising and refreshing to come across a book that, for once, was carried on other issues. Bravo Ms. Cooney.

Summary: The Terrorist
Review: This is a really really good book. It's kind of scary at first to realize that this could actually happen to anybody. Caroline B. Cooney wrote this book very well. It gives a really good perspective on World Peace. After reading this book I reccomended it to everyone I knew and they all agreed with me... this book is one of the best books I've ever read. And it also made me want to read more of Caroline B. Cooney's books such as... Driver's Ed, The Face on the Milk Carton, Whatever Happened to Janie, The Voice on the Radio, and What Janie Found... which all were very good.

Summary: Islamophobia
Review: The writer is clearly determined to demonize and raise suspicions about people of Middle Eastern origin, the religion of Islam and Pacific Islanders. Definetly not recommended reading as the book teaches religious and social intolerance.

Summary: The Terrorist
Review: I thought that this book was VERY good. I read a lot and I like all of the books I've read by Caroline B. Cooney. She's a great author and has a REALLY great imagination. This book was very hard to put down. I thought is was kind of a mystery/suspens/horror book. I never give any book a five star rating and the only flaw in this book was it was kind of depressing! ^_^

Summary: explosively good
Review: This was a very good book, the plot keeps getting thicker and thicker, you can't put this book down, and you have to keep guessing who is the bad guy until the very end. The end of this book makes the book all the better, the ending adds just a pebble of fear that will never leave you.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: The Worst Book I Ever Read
Review: I really didn't like this book. I think it is to hard to get into it and to understand what is happening because it mixes all around. It just isn't one of those books that you just can't put down.
