Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A very well written mystery
Review: This book is about Jenny Jakes and her mother when they travel to California for their millionaire cousin's will-reading. Before the reading of the will, they found out there was a murder. This book was hard to put down!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: This book was very thrilling and makes you think!
Review: This book is amusing. If you like mysterys this book is foryou! Also check out Dont Scream.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Tedious
Review: This book was a disappointment. I found it boring and ridiculous, and Jenny's mom, who's supposed to be there for comic relief, is annoying and distracting. Jenny and Carlos' relationship is cute, but the murders seem unrealistic and the suspects there for a party. Pointless, mindless, messy.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fairly Good
Review: This book was good. Although there are not many suspects and confusing at times it's a good book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: very good but not too scary
Review: This is abook about a girl named Jenny who has a mom that is a mystery writer and suddenly, at a party, a real murder happens and she decides to be a detective, though she knows nothing about solving crime, so Jenny decides to help her. Together they're able find out a lot, but is it enough to solve the case before the murderer stikes again? I thought this book was very interesting and had a good plot, but Iwas a little dissapointed because it's not scary.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: SUSPENSE AT IT'S BEST!
Review: This was a very captivating mystery. It had an excellent plot and was written well. Although it was good, there was some disappointments. There wasn't enough suspects and therefore the outcome wasn't too surprising. Overall, I would say it was great and it was definitely a page-turner to the end!

Summary: Not Very Good
Review: This was the first book I read by Joan Lowery Nixon and I was very dissapointed. I had heard such good things about her. I didn't want to read any books by her ever again, but decided I should give it another shot. So, I read the book Whispers From The Dead. It was VERY good. I guess this is NOT one of her better books. It was slow and boring. Not exciting at all. The plot was good but it was too bad that the story was so bad. It was almost as though the plot was wasted. If you are going to read a book by Joan do Not choose this one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Don't read with out the lights on!
Review: Thriller, there are suprises around every corner! This story is about a girl who is involved with a murder mystery. She is going to her mother's cousin's will reading, but mysteriously the son of her cousin is murdered. Strange things start to happen, like she is locked on to her balcony and she can't get back inside. Then she is having a photo done at a restraunt, and a flower pot is hurled at her. Who did it? If you want to find out read this book by Joan Lowery Nixon. She has written many wonderful books including this one called, Murdered,My Sweet. I recommend this book to any one who is at least in fourth grade, and is sick of the Hardy Boys, and who loves mysteries.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not very pleasing
Review: When I first picked up this book it sounded really interesting. Jenny Jakes and her mother Madeline Jakes, a famous mystery writer, go to San Antonio Texas for the birthday/will reading of Arnold Harmony, a distant billionare cousin and owner of Harmony Chocolates. Right before the actually reading of the will a murder occurs follwed by yet another murder. Everyone expects Madeline to solve the mystery, but Jenny knows her mother could NEVER solve a mystery. The plot started out good, but became more boring and predictible with each page turn. Jenny's romance with Carlos the bellhop is somewhat unbelivable as is Madeline's with the police officer. And while Madeline's way of solving the mystery and getting information is humorous it soon gets to down-right unbelivable. If you're looking for a good read I suggest you try and one of Lois Dincan's books. This one is slopply done and barely deserves 3 stars.
