Rating: Summary: This was an an exceptional historical fiction story Review: Ann Rinaldi's "A break With Charity A story about the Salem Witch Trials" describes a group of girls who falsely accuse people of the Salem community of practicing witchcraft, when in reality the girl were the ones practicing witchcraft. It was a tragedy how innocent people were murdered because of the girl's accusation. At the trial when the accused would deny the charge the girls would throw then selves on the floor and make sounds. These acts were to demonstrate that the person on trial was a "witch" and that the "witch" was controlling them to act in this manner. This was an exceptional historical fiction story. Throughout most of the book I felt almost like I was there. The reason for this was the book was very descriptive and engaging. The most descriptive part I can think of is right before Mary Bradbury was on trial. Susanna was going to the courthouse and described the scene around her she tells when it was, what she smelled, saw, and heard. All of that made me feel like I was right there.
Rating: Summary: A sure page turner Review: I got this book after I went to Salem,Mass. and while reading this book all these people came back to me. I wish I read this book before then. Now to the book,I loved it!!!!! I think that it really got into the Salem Witch trials and showed how freaky it would have been to be living in Salem then. This was my first book by Ann Rinaldi now I have 11 books by her.Elizabeth

Review: This fascinating book, was something I could never put down!It was the first book that I ever bought from Ann Rinaldi and now I can't wait to read more. She combines historical facts with compelling fiction. It makes you want to read more and more, because she makes it so interesting and a little bit humorous.
Rating: Summary: THE BOOM Review: THE BOOK WAS MY FAVORITE I HAVE READ IT 3 TIMES ALREADY. ADN DID A BOOK REPORT ON IT AND GOT A A+
Rating: Summary: "Excellant" Review: An unbelievably good story of the struggle against evil, as the heroine must choose:end the killings or sacrifice her family.
Rating: Summary: A war against evil in a place so "good!!" Review: This book was recommended to me by a great reader, and I expected it to be a great book. I soon found out that her interests are somewhat different than mine. The book was written well, but it didn't make me feel the way I usually feel about a book. I usually can't put the book down and finish it two nights, yet this one just seemed to go on and on and on. Some parts were incredible and made me really think, but others didn't interest me and I had to skip a few pages. This book was overall really good, just not what I'd hoped it would be.
Rating: Summary: A Break With Charity is one of Ann Rinaldi's Best!!! Review: A Break With Charity was a very involving book, I felt as if, I, the reader were in Sussana's shoes the whole time I was reading this book. I felt her pain, her joy and every other emotion that she felt. A Break With Charity, as in all of Rinaldi's books that I have read, has history in it so that by the time you have finnished the book you know so much more than you started out knowing about the subject of the book.
Rating: Summary: A GREAT book, recommended for anyone over 10!!! Review: Ann Rinaldi is a GREAT author who writes graphically and that helps you to understand it. This book was a pleasure to read and if only I had read it before I did my report on The Salem Witch Trials, I would've understanded it better (I GOT AN A though!!) SHE DESERVES AN AWARD FOR THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :)
