This collection of 150 poems is arranged chronologically and covers her work from 1968 to the present. Who knows? Maybe the next president will ask Giovanni to compose his inaugural poem! Review: to be fair, i never really expected much out of giovanni, i just grabbed this book from the library on a whim. if you want to read a poet who write political poems or poems on race, then grab marilyn nelson, gwendolyn brooks, sapphire or ai, and see how it should be done.
