Summary: Loved it!
Review: I love this author. Randle has the amazing ability to create original stories. Somehow I got so caught up in the book I didn't realize I had finished it in less than two hours. I was just so anxious to find out what was going to happen next. Although this book was amazing, her other book, The Only Alien on the Planet, seemed to have the same affect on me. She is truly talented and all her books are fantastic. I hope she comes out with more.

Summary: The Best Book I've Read in a Long Time!
Review: I read this book yesterday in one sitting. The book was captivating and the characters were very real to me. I recommend this book to anyone who's looking for something a little different and something to think about.

Summary: Breaking Rank
Review: I recently read the novel Breaking Rank by Kristin D. Randle. The book consisted of many good aspects with the way characters related to each other and plot. I enjoyed the plot of the story the most.
I thought the idea of having a smart, proper girl like Casey getting mixed up with a tougher yet intelligent boy like Thomas was a strong point of the novel. The two were incredibly different but had many things in common that neither one of them knew about. One large difference was that Casey was raised in a stable, goal-oriented family while Thomas was a member of the Clan whom most people looked down upon and even feared.
The novel gave an eye-opening view of what could happen when two opposite sides are thrown together and have to learn to work together for a common cause. It also shows how people can let small, trivial differences affect their lives and what they might miss out on if that happens. An example of this would be when Thomas gets beat up by the "preppier" bunch of kids for being with Casey just because they didn't feel it was right.
In conclusion, I was left with and overall good impression of the novel. I felt the tone and speed of the novel was set so you would be able to keep interest without being bored or losing yourself in what was going on. Overall I would recommend this novel to others.

Summary: Breaking Rank
Review: I think all kids should read it because it tells you about gangs and how dangerous it is, and you would have to choose between your gange and your friends,or even anyone. People would rate you on how you dress, if they just rate you on how you drss than how are they supossed to know how you really are and just because you wear a certin color all the time does not mean that you are in a gang or anything like that.It is like judging a book by it cover. And it is not good to judge a book by its cover.

Summary: this is a great book
Review: I think Breaking Rank was an awsome book.At first I thought I wouldnt like it,but i was wrong. The author made it seem like it was really happening. At some parts i didnt like but most i loved.Thomas(Baby)reminded me of someone i know.People automatically assumed the worse of Baby.He turned out to be a great guy.Casey a popular girl had to tutor him,she would take anything where she was needed.Anyone who says that this is a stupid book is wrong. And all kids should read this.

Summary: Katies Review
Review: I think that Breaking Rank was a new version of the allready known storys Romeo and Juliet and West side Story. I loved the book it makes you really think of who you are and what you beleive in. It makes you think its possible to think past your friends thoughts. Its ok to have your own opion and do what you think is right. I dident really like the idea of the clan it made this book way to difficult to beleive this could happen. I think it would of been a better story if she just kept it to being a gang and not this new clan. It was hard to relate to some of the problems the clan was going through.
