Summary: One of the Best
Review: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is a splendid book. It was full of mystery and supense and for that it keep me reading. The book is about a girl, Charlotte, that is traveling home since school has let out. Once she is on the boat she immediatly makes friends with a shiphand, Zachariah, who sort of takes it upon himself that she needs protection while traveling unsupervised. Soon after the departure of the Seahawk, the crew and the Captain have a certain chaos abord the ship that Chalotte has no choice of going the opposite way and is put in the middle of things. This book is a great experiance for readers because it has a certain quality about wanting to read ahead and find out who did what and how something turns out. I personally didn't want to put it down for fear I would forget about what was happening, but I don't think that I could really forget the book. The characters in it had many aspects to them, for instance you could think something about a character and they would turn out to be the total opposite of what you were originally thinking about them.This book is for the audience that enjoy reading, mysteries, and just a good thriller.

Review: THE TRUE CONFESSIONS OF CHARLOTTE DOYLE will be read a hundred years from now. It's that brilliant. Few authors could hold the reader's interest with a setting limited to a sailing ship, but Avi does just that. Even though most of the action takes place aboard the ship, I was spellbound, the result of an author who knows his craft. His style reminds me of Jack London.If you like the DEAR AMERICA fictional diaries, then you'll love this book. It's well researched and full of interesting facts about life on the sea.

Summary: Suspense and Murder
Review: I rated this story with five stars. Avi is an excellent writer when it comes down to murder on the high seas. This is the first of his books that I've read and I hope to read more. If the cliffhangers, the setting and the plot are as good as in this story I can guarantee I will read more. The cliffhangers in this book were amazing! This man is dead, but then he comes back! The cliffhangers force you to read on. In one day I read from chapter twelve through the end, chapter twenty-two. The suspense will give you chills! The setting is very well described. The story takes place on the high seas. Charlotte gets told not to go here or not to go there, but yet she does. In the story, you go with Charlotte and the crew to every room and deck on the ship. The plot is murder on a ship. After reading this book it made me want to read more books on murder. When it all comes down to the very end, you will be shocked! If you don't like a few grotesque things you may not want to read this book. I would reccomend this book to teen of the age twelve to sixteen. The vocabulary is advanced, and I, at the age 13 even had to reread certain parts. Also the graphic details that you read during the killings may not please certain people, but it is not really bad.

Review: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is an intriguing book. It's about a girl who is on a trip to America in the year 1832. On the ship, she and the crew have intense problems with the crazy captain, Captain Jaggery. She is the only girl on this ship. The crew mutinies against the captain. She befriends the crew after that. The writing and plot is easy to understand. Many people will enjoy this intriguing book. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great mystery and adventure book with many twists. It is an extremely exciting book that has a great deal of adventure and mystery in it.

Summary: Good Book!
Review: My teacher is reading the book to my 4th grade class and I. It is a very good. My teacher reads a chapter a day. After the chapter is over my class groans because usually it is just at a 'good part'. Actually, the whole book so far has been a 'good part'. I especially liked the part when Charlotte Doyle had to climb the ropes of the ship and almost died. It's a really great book. I loved it.

Review: I thought the book was ok. The reason I thought it was ok is because it was too detailed for me. Also if you like cliffhangers you will like this book. Cliffhangers are when at the end of the chapter they just leave off. Then you want to keep reading. If you like to read detialed books then you will want to read this book. It seems like you are actually there. I like that it fells really cool. There are 3 main charaters. They are Charlotte Doyle,Captain Jaggery,and Zahariah. So read this book.

Review: I read the book The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. This book had some exciting and controversial parts. This book is about a girl who finds herself a passenger on a crude ship that only contains murders and betrayals. I thought this book could have gotten a little more exciting than it is. That is about everything I would change about the book though. All in all this book was a pretty good piece of writting that many people would enjoy reading. I gave this book four stars because it was a very good book, but not very exciting. So if you want a fun book to read, read The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.

Review: Ok, so I'm a little old to be reading young adult books, but this book was so excellent, I didn't want to put it down!! I wish there was a movie or a sequel to it!! I highly recommend this book to anyone, male or female.
