Rating: Summary: Very emotional story Review: I think the book "A Walk to Remember" is easy to read and understand. The story is about a growing relation between two teenagers, Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan. Jamie often reads the bible, helps others and is always friendly. She's what adults would call an angel. But her classmates don't like her at all, including Landon. Landon is exactly the opposite of her. He likes playing tricks on others. But they come closer together because Landon cannot find any other girl for a dance. So he "has to take" her. In school, they have to spend more time together because Landon agrees to play the main character in a Christmas play (Jamie is the female protagonist). Landon develops feelings for Jamie but does not show them because he is afraid of the others' reaction. But later he invites her to a dinner and walks her home after the rehearsals. You can say that he has finally fallen in love at that moment. One night he kisses her... Then this very emontional story turns into a dramatic one. Jamie says that Landon cannot be together with her because she is very ill... Although Jamie dies in the end the story has a happy ending! Even if you hate love stories this book will interest you, because it is not only about the "normal stuff". Nicholas Sparks describes very detailed but sometimes it is a little bit too long and therefore too boring!
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Rocks! Review: I just got back from watching the movie, and it is deffintly the best movie that I myself have ever seen. Shane West and Mandy Moore make a coute couple on and off of the screen. I think they should make many more films together. I love Mandy Moores songs that she sings in the movie. She is very talented and is still pretty with and without makeup. The movie is so good, that I have already bought the book, A Walk to Remember, and have seen the movie twice.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT ! FANTASTIC!! MUST READ!! Review: It is by far my most favorite. My emotions were right with Landon and all the small details of their lives, their love and the world around them. I would love to read another one just like it. Made me feel like I was home!

Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK! Review: This was a great book. I read it in 3.5 hours straight; I couldn't put it down. It's well characterized, well thought out and just plain touching and funny. You laugh, you cry. Great book!
Rating: Summary: A book to remember Review: A walk to remember is a fantastic book. When I saw the previews for the movie I decided that I had to read the book first, and I'm glad that I did. It was a beautiful book; it gave you all the emotions that a good book should. You'll laugh, cry, and all of the other stuff you do in good books. The book was well written and Nicolas Sparks really knows how to tug at your heart. It provides a christan message that you don't find in many books today, which just adds to its charm. I recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: If You've Seen the Movie- Read the Book! (Or Vice-Versa) Review: Landon Carter is 17 years old and about to step into the shoes of the man he is going to become. The year is 1958 and Jamie Sullivan is the minister's daughter. Jamie doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the kids but that's because she is mature beyond her years. Her optimistic and cheerful personality is never ending, and she is prone to giving a helping hand to all those in need. She has faith in God's plan and is only too happy to share that with those around her. She carries her Bible wherever she goes and Landon and his friends enjoy making jokes about her and her strange ways. When Landon is paired with Jamie for the main role in the Christmas play he realizes just how special she is, what follows is the most endearing love story I have read in a very long time. It is through his selfless love of Jamie that Landon becomes the man he has become today. I will not spoil the ending for you, but theirs is a fated love that ends triumphantly, it's effects reaching out to touch the people of this small North Carolina town. This book warmed my heart. You will love these characters to the point that you feel their joy as well as their sadness. You will cry along with them for their losses and you will cheer them on as they forge ahead. This is a wonderful book and certainly worth your time.
Rating: Summary: Those Tender Years Review: I really liked this book. The author is very good about pulling the reader into the emotional discourse of the story. I have read one too many dry witted well executed books of late. It was a nice change of pace to read a story in which I found an emotional attachment with the characters. It's an old story, with familiar hooks, but it worked for me.
Rating: Summary: The plot started 180 pages into the book. Review: My friends and I all read the same copy f this book withen a week. I haven't seen the movie, but I wanted to read the book. The first 180 pages are introduction. The next ten pages are the climax and ending. And the ending wasn't that great anyway. There were no clues leading up to the why certain things happen at the climax, and the things that do happen are two pags before the climax. Pls, I wish this book was more historical fictiony. If I didn't know it took place in the 50s, I would have guessd it took place now. I don't really reccomend this. My friends said it was really sad and cute, but it wasn't at all. Read OUT OF TIME by Caroline B. Cooney.
Rating: Summary: If you like the book, then you'll absolutely love the movie Review: When I first bought the book, I thought, "oh, no! another boring, sappy teen romance." I couldn't have been more wrong. This book is a coming-of-age story of Landon Carter, a rebellous senior in high school, and Jamie Sullivan, the intelligent, God-fearing girl who everyone makes fun of. Landon slowly begins to fall in love with Jamie as he spends more time with her after having to star in the school drama and after she convinces him to help out at the orphanage. He slowly sees her transform in his mind from a sweet, innocent, old-fashioned girl who doesn't care what anything thinks about her to someone who has faith in him and whose energy and love astound him. Together, their love for each other helps them to battle obstacles that cross their paths. Landon's immaturity and rebellousness gradually fades as he realizes how much he needs and loves Jamie. A guaranteed tear-jerker that will make you wanting a Landon of your own. I also highly recommend the movie even you don't like the book. The movie is absolutely incredible.
