Summary: I love this book!
Review: I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down, which is somewhat obvious because I read it in one day. This book truly makes you feel like you are the characters and it definetly makes you cry. I also saw the movie. It was good, but I'd recomend that you to read this wonderful book first.

Review: A Walk to Remember is a heart-throbbing, stomach-fluttering, and tear-jerking novel in which you find what true love means. Landon Carter, newly elected ASB President, needs a date for homecoming. The only problem is that is just a few days away and most the girls have already been asked. He skims through his yearbook and the only girl left that is "reasonable" is Jamie Sullivan. This year Landon had seen her in a different light, he had dropped Science and the only class that period was Drama and Jamie was in that class. Once he saw her he realized she wasn't the little 1st grader he remembers, but a young woman. He then asks her to Homecoming, and she wants to but must get her permission from her father; a priest.Jamie and Landon attend Homecoming together and he sees how truly nice she is. When a girl throw-up in the bathroom Jamie is the 1st one to help her clean up. In the next few weeks the Drama class decides to perform the play Hegbert Sullivan called "The Christmas Angel" Landon is chosen to play the lead man and Jamie the Angel. The big day of the performance comes, the seats are filled, even Landon's friends attended. Unfortunately Landon was not able to wish Jamie good luck and had not seen her before he began. Landon was on stage doing his seen by himself, the crowd was silent all eyes watching, then it became more silent than imaginable. You probably could have heard a pin drop, and he turned around to see Jamie different then ever before. In a long flowing white dress, her hair down with sparkles in it, and make-up on. He turned around and in the most sincere voice said, "You're beautiful." She truly was and that's where he saw her for who she was inside and out, for the first time. I would recommend this book for anyone that is 8 and older. It teaches a great life lesson, and what kindness does to a person. This was a wonderful book and should be read by many.
The story takes you further than any; you see the true kindness of a heart. You see the love of two people grow. You see how the personal will can be the greatest strength of all. You see something unexpected, something that will make your heart tighten. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, not wanting to waste one minute. To see where this love journey begins and ends, you must read A Walk to Remember, written by Nicolas Sparks.

Review: In Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember, Landon Cater falls unexpectedly in love with the preachers daughter. Jamie Sullivan,the preachers daughter, has never really fit in. Jamie has a kind soul and a kind heart, but has no true friends. Landon Cater is known as the school jock. He is very popular and is overall the complete opposite of Jamie. Inspite of this difference he asks Jamie to the school dance as a last resort date. Jamie and Landon create a special bond. As a favor in return, Landon agrees to be the lead in Jamie's fathers Christmas play. It is then that he realizes her true beauty for the first time. Landon and Jamie become very close. Landon begins to spend time with her after school. Landon even invites her to go out with him and his friends. In the end Jamie and Landon fall in love. This story can show how fate can put aside differences and bring two people together.

Review: A Walk to Remember was simply excellent! It was beautifully written. I fell in love with the characters almost immediately. I wanted to read on forever. Definetly a book you will not be able to put down.

Review: I thought A Walk to Remember was a good book and the book gets ***** because it was so good. Nobody really liked Jamie Sullivan, and she didn't have any friends. It got really sad at the end of the book. But it's so good that I'll probably reread it again someday.

Review: I really liked the book, it was kind of sad. I saw the movie before, but I liked the book better, it had more details than the movie. It was about a 17 year old girl named Jamie, everybody thought she was weird. There was also a boy named Landon, he was very popular and in the end he falls in love with her.

I gave it three stars because I don't like love stories. It was ok sometimes and was usually boring for me.

Summary: Tugs at Your Heart
Review: In "A Walk to Remember" Nicholas Sparks really tugs at the feelings in his reader's hearts. I think that this book really touches most of the emotions in a person. On the first day of drama class Landon Carter sees the unpopular Jamie Sullivan. She's the preacher's daughter. She is conservative, and has a giving heart considering all her work with orphans. At lunch she reads the Bible while all of Landon's friends make fun of her. So when he was in the town's big Christmas play with Jamie after owing a favor, he was really worried about his reputation as Mr. Cool. So when the play is done the last thing he expects is to realize that Jamie has captured his heart. Jamie gets Landon to do things that stretch far beyond his regular limits. This is what really shows Landon who Jamie is, and not what everyone thinks she's like. Landon also shows Jamie what his world is like. He lives in a very big house, which she admires, and all the fancy dinners really maker her feel special. Despite Reverend Sullivan's objections, their relationship grows and Landon's feelings do too, so when Jamie reveals what her future holds, his whole world turns upside down. Despite all the nagging he gets from friends Landon realizes that there are more things to life than the small problems and being cool. Sparks does a great job of breaking the rules of the classic assumptions that jocks don't associate with the "goody-two shoes."
There are a few reasons why I really enjoyed this book. One is that it really touched me in a way that few books do. So that is why I think this book is good for people of all ages. Despite the fact that it is fairly easy reading, it has a lesson that we all need to learn and apply to our life. Sure, this book might seem a little sappy, but it really does have something for everybody. For me, every good book connects with you in a way that you can relate to in your life. This is another reason why I enjoyed this book. It connects in many ways, all depending on what kind of person you are. It really appealed to me because I am a high school student so I can relate to the feelings Landon is having. The most important reason I like this book is that it got me excited to read. I couldn't wait to sit down and find out what was going to happen next. The author really developed the characters well so it seemed very real. Their feelings and emotions seemed honest and not out of a fairy tale or something like that. I really would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a story that seems true. This trip back in time is one that nobody should miss.
