Summary: Great book
Review: Like the book A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY or Jackson McCrae's BARK OF THE DOGWOOD, this Nicholas Sparks book is just the right balance of humor, sentiment, and real life. I can honestly say that I've never encountered a Nicholas Sparks book I didn't like, but by far, this one is my favorite. Touching without being sappy, and easy and fun to read without talking down to you, it's worth every cent!

Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: There is a grl named Jamie, she is a sweet, nice, and pretty girl. When she goes to school everyone makes fun of her. They all tease Jamie. A winter formal dance was coming up. And this guy named Lendo starts liking Jamie. So after school he would walk behind her and always go to her house. One day Lendo went up to Jamie and asked if she would like to go to the dance with him. She says my dad won't appreciate that, but i will ask my father. So she asks her father and he says okay. So they go to the dance together. After the dance Jamie started to like Lendo. So I guess they see each other. And Jamie would go out of her patio and wait for Lendo. So they talk and go out. And she sees her hair fall out every day. So she tries going to the hospital and they tell her that she has cancer, Lucemia. No one knows that she has it except her. And so she keeps it a secret. Jamie knew Lendo wouldn't go out with her if he finds out she has cancer. So Jamie keeps avoiding him, because Jamie knew that Lendo wouldn't want to go out with him. So years, months, and days go by and no one still knows. But her dad finds out that she has Lucemia so they talk it over and they cry so hard. Then later on Lendo starts to find out. So he tries not to make it so obvious to her. So they still go out even though that he knows she has cancer. So one day she just faints so Lendo takes her to the hospital. And so Jamie just told Lendo, even though he knew. So he starts crying too. And that's my book review for A Walk to Remember.

The book I read is called A Walk to Remember. This book is mainly about a guy named Landon who fell in love with an unpopular girl named Jamie. But when Landon found out that Jamie had cancer, he did anything to get help. When he found out that she was going to die. He asked her to marry him. Six months after their marriage, Jamie had died of Leukemia.

What I liked about this book was that the time period took place in the 1950's. That was different from the other entire book I have read. I also loved the story. It's also different than all the other books.

What I disliked about the book was that it was too long and it took along time for me to finish. Although it was a great book. I don't really have to say anything bad about this book because I thing it's a great book.

My favorite part in this book is when Landon went to go look for help for Jamie. When he went to go find a cure. I thought that part of the book was really sweet and tragic. I also like the part where they told the problem. I thought that was really sad.

Review: I liked this book I haven't seen the movie so I thought when I read it, it all just cam to my head. like as if I were watching the movie. My favorite part was when he told the story of the Christmas Angel and how the old man didn't like ghost so he made it of an angel. I liked how the little girl on Christmas morning got the music box with an angel on it. As soon as I got home i told my parents that story and they told my little siter and now we all like it.

Other people I know just watch a movie insted of read the book, like Holes I watched the movie and I fell in lov ewith it then i read the book and i liked that even more. In the book it tells you alot more so i like that beter then the movies but sittl to see how much beter the book is from the movie you may want to watch it. But A Walk to Remember is clarly must read book.

In Beaufort, North Carolina, Landon Carter never thought he would fall in love with Jamie Sullivan. Jamie was the daughter of the town's Baptist minister. She was always happy, looked on the positive side. Jamie was one of the most unpopular girls in school. She was always talking about "god's plan". The church always had a play on Christmas, this year, Jamie was playing the angel in "The Christmas Angel." Hegbert, the Baptist minister, wrote "The Christmas Angel", which was almost based on his life. The relationship between Jamie and Landon all started when Landon asked Jamie to the school dance because he didn't have a date. He never thought that he would ever like a girl like Jamie. Later, he found out a secret about Jamie. Jamie was sick, not the normal flu or the cold. She was really sick and only had about a year to live. Jamie had leukemia. Each day she was growing weaker and weaker, and also losing weight. Jamie's goal was to get married. She wanted her father to walk her down the aisle and she wanted everyone she knew to be there. She wanted the church to be bursting with people. A few weeks before her death, she married Landon Carter. All the things that she wanted to happen happened. Her father walked her down the aisle, everyone she knew went to watch the ceremony, and the church was bursting with people.

I really liked this book because it was very touching. Jamie always looked at the bright side and never the dark. Her comments were always positive. When I read this book, I really wanted to be like Jamie, I really liked her character, and her personality. Jamie was a very devoted to God. Another thing I would like to be. Like I said before, she's always talking about God's plan and she's always praying for someone. "I'll pray for you."

I disliked this book because it was sad. Jamie dies in the end, but she fulfilled her dream. She got married with Landon Carter. I really wished that at that time doctors had a cure for leukemia. Then Jamie would have lived and been with Landon. Jamie wasn't just an angel in the play that saves Tom Thornton; Jaime saved everyone with her faith and beliefs. Landon said this 40 years later, "I now believe that miracles can happen."

My favorite part of the book was the wedding. Jamie didn't have much energy to walk down the aisle but she still did. The wedding brought people closer to each other. Especially, Landon and Hegbert. They learned to respect each other. Jamie has taught everyone a lot. People can now learn from her.

Summary: Laughter and Tears
Review: Sparks somehow manages to pull off what most authours could probably never even contemplate: he fufils his promise. First I laughed, then I cried. The story at first seems incredibly cliché, yet another book about true love between two completely opposite high school students. Yet somehow this book manages not to fall into the well worn rut that most of these have created with their passage. The story remains fresh and new, with a heart-breaking twist just as you near the end, and hope for the standard happy ending we have become so accustomed to. It's not a difficult read, nothing taxing enough to take more an a few hours, yet it carries itself beautifully and is well worth the minimal amount of time it requires.

Summary: made me ashamed that I had actually read it
Review: I read this book. When I first picked it up, I honestly thought that I had mistakenly purchased a copy for those readers who are visually impaired! The type was so large and the margins on the page were huge! As I contined to read, I realized why: Nicholas Sparks has nothing to say. He is riding the wave of the Bridges of Madison County, "romance lite" books -- those kind of small, shallow books that is taking advantage of American readership these days. He knows our attention spans aren't what they used to be, that we're not really that bright and certainly don't like to be challenged intellectually, so he is laughing at us all the way to his bank while publishing this fiction that passes off for books. This was the most revolting, insulting book I have ever read, and actually made me ashamed that I invested the time and money to read it.

Summary: This Book is AWESOME!!!!!!
Review: OMG this book is soooo awesome. i went to my local Border's to browse and i found this lying on the shelf in the young adult section. i couldn't put it down, and it took me about an hour 1/2 to read. i smiled, laughed, and cried. In the prolouge, it says- "First you'll smile, and then you'll cry- don't say you haven't been warned." Yes, even the toughest of guys will feel their heart break at the end of this wonderul, heartfelt novel about true love. Believe me, you WILL cry. it's soooo sad at the end when...... well won't give it away, but who hasn't seen the movie (me) well i've heard mixed reviews bout the Shane West/ Mandy Moore movie. hope its as good as the book.....
READ IT!!!!!!

Summary: A beautiful story and a tear jerker
Review: I've read all of Nicholas Sparks books and I have several books that I pick up again and again. After the heart-tugging read that was "The Notebook" I didn't think Nicholas Sparks would make a better book... but I was wrong. "A Walk to Remember" is a simple love story that in the beginning will make you laugh and in the end make you cry. Of all of the books Sparks' has written, this is easily his best one.

In Beaufort, North Carolina, 1959, Landon is in his senior year in high-school. Landon hangs out with the popular crowd, getting into mischief with his friends. Jamie Sullivan is in the same grade but the complete opposite. She has no friends of her own but the townspeople in the small town of Beaufort adore her! When both their paths cross Landon and Jamie begin to discover things about each other...and themselves. Landon isn't such a bad kid and Jamie isn't exactly "Ms. Perfect." Soon the two become intwined in a loving relationship.

The story of "A Walk to Remember" may seem simple at first but the more attatched Landon and Jamie become to each other, the more attatched you become to the characters. You grow to be interested in Landon and Jamie and just what gives them chemistry since they're the complete opposite of each other. Landon is a trouble maker, Jamie the ministers daughter and all around "Do-gooder".

While romance is different each time the book is an enjoyable read that you just can't put down. The characters shine and Sparks' does an excellent job in the build up of his characters.

Where the tear-jerker comes in is where it enters in most love stories, the end. In the end the book will leave you in tears. Not only that but because the love story was crafted so brilliantly, you'll want to read it again and again!

"A Walk to Remember" is easily one of the greatest books Sparks' has ever written. A beautiful love story that comes to a tragic end. But it shows that love does exist and that it can strike anyone at any time and of any chemistry. A great read, don't miss out.
