Rating: Summary: A true love story! Review: Most people never experience the kind of love that last forever. This book leaves you knowing that even death can't stop true love. Nicholas Sparks gets better with each book. I can't wait for his next.
Rating: Summary: An unforgettable book Review: This is the first book that I have read by Nicholas Sparks. I can't wait to read his others. It is definitely a "one-sitting" kind of book and I was completely taken in and touched by its story. Its the kind of book that when you finish, you must sit quietly for a while and think.
Rating: Summary: Terribly disappointed Review: After reading Mr. Sparks' last two novels, I anxiously awaited this new arrival. I found it very disappointing. When the narrator tells you in the first few pages..that you <the reader> will laugh then cry....I did neither of these. The whole novel sounded like a college entrance essay..."How I Spent My Senior Year" or "What Event Changed My Life" both of which..makes very boring reading. Im hoping Kevin Costner doesnt pick this book up and decide to make a Movie of the Week out of it.
Rating: Summary: Nicholas has done it again! Review: I couldn't wait to read this book this year!We have watched Nicholas' growth over the years and admire his writing and his life-values.We're proud of you Nick!
Rating: Summary: Nicholas' books get better and better. Review: Everytime I read one of Nicholas Sparks' books, I am swept away in time to the places in his book. This time it was to North Carolina in the 50's. I read this book in one night. It was so powerful and spiritual I read it again so that I could drink in every little part of the book. By the end of the book, I wanted Landon to be my husband. It is truly one of the greatest romantic stories of all times.
Rating: Summary: Sweet but predictable.... Review: This was a sweet, first love type of story. Very typical, and predictable right from the beginning. A little dull compared to Sparks other novels but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I still look forward to reading others by this author.
Rating: Summary: A wonderfully moving story of youth and love Review: I am not good at expressing my thoughts, but will try. This was a complete surprise to me and I don't know why, since I have read Mr. Sparks other two best-sellers. He has again managed to lead you through an unbelievably emotional and yet wonderful story of youth and love. It definitely brought my own emotions to the surface and allowed me to feel the pain his characters experienced. He has scored another best-seller and I can't wait for his next novel!!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely "Marvelous" What a wonderful touching story Review: As always,Nicholas Sparks comes through to touch your soul and inner most feelings that you have about mankind. And again,he shows us there are always good people and sometimes angels there to bring into our lives, perspective.
Rating: Summary: This latest Sparks novel delivers on its opening promise. Review: As I quickly picked up this latest of Nicholas's Sparks novels, A Walk to Remember, I wasn't certain it would live up to the quality of writing and stimulation of emotional heartstrings that his two previous novels had. I was quickly convinced, through laughter and tears, that Sparks had again delivered a beautiful piece of literary art. I highly recommend this book, but be warned, that only the most jaded of hearts will not render a tear.
Rating: Summary: Short but Sweet... Review: I read The Notebook and Message in a Bottle. Of the three, this one is rated right in between the previous two, with The Notebook, by far, being the best! The dialogue was good, although a few expressions he used were not typical of what was really said in the late 50s, in other words "they weren't born yet"...(take it from one who was there at the time!). The ending was a bit confusing..."miracles do happen"? Does that mean that Jamie didn't die after all? I honestly wish the book were longer. I was enjoying it so much, and was disappointed when it ended.
