Summary: A Wonderful Book
Review: I thought this book was a wonderful book. Ann Rinaldi has done wonderful research, and has also written the book well. I love all of the other books I've read of hers, but this one hit the spot. A very touching view of The Revolutionary War.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Story that shows real feelings!
Review: I thought this story gave a great incite to what Paul Revere's family must have felt about the Revolution and the Sons of Liberty. Sarah, his daughther, goes through many mixed feelings, but discovers herself at the end.

Summary: A Great Tale of Secrets
Review: In this exciting historical novel, thirteen-year-old Sarah Revere tells her story of the events that take place in Boston at the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Sarah is the daughter of the famous Paul Revere, who takes late night rides off to unknown places keeping his family wondering in fear. His family knows that he rides off to send messages to fellow Patriots, and they also know how much trouble he can get in for his work against the King. As the story continues, Sarah and her brother Paul bring home a young woman named Rachel, with whom their father falls in love and eventually marries since the children's mother died a few years before. Sarah likes Rachel at first, but when her older sister Debbie shares her suspicions of Rachel and another Patriot, Doctor Joseph Warren's, relationship of being more than a friendship, Sarah begins to have her own suspicions, too. One evening, Mr. Revere and the other Patriots in Boston dump the tea off of the ships at the harbor. This causes British troups to move in and take control of the city. It is very exciting and scary as Mr. Revere continues to ride off into the night to tell of the activities in Boston. When he rides to Lexington, there are rumors of him seeing who fired the first shot of the war, but he will not tell anyone. He tells his family to move to a house outside of Boston because the city is getting too dangerous. When he joins them he will not tell anyone the secret that he holds and is determined to take it with him to the grave. Sarah has a fight with Doctor Warren, who she has loved all along, accusing him of his feelings for Rachel. She tries to make up with him, but cannons are being fired and he cannot hear her. It is an emotional tale of secrets and love as Doctor Warren dies and Sarah feels as though she holds a secret that she, too, must carry with her to the grave. This book is very exciting and by telling the story in first person, the author really keeps things interesting. The reader knows all of Sarah's thoughts and feelings, and at the end of the book they feel as though they have made a great new friend. The Secret of Sarah Revere is a fantastic novel that is great for people of any age.

Summary: this one's my favorite
Review: Like all of Ann Rinaldi's books, I found that i could not put this one down. I have a very bad habit of judging books by their covers.I bought the American copy, and the picture wasn't very appealing. The back summary was kind of bad, but i read it anyways cuz i kow Ann Rinaldi is a very gifted writer. And I loved the book. But i thought that at the end the "secret" of Sarah was kinda lame, cuz i read the end again like, 15 times and i still didn't figure it out. But overall it was an awesome book, good for any fan of historical fiction.

Summary: very good
Review: No surprise, I would no sooner have put 5 stars on EVERY Ann Rinaldi book there is! But, this book was still great. I loved it! It's the story of Paul Revere's daughter Sarah. Practically the whole story is a flashback on things that've just happened to Sarah, between her, her stepmother Rachel, her family, and Dr. Warren. Read this book if you're interested in the Revolution, and you'll be glad you did, no doubt!

Summary: A suprisingly good read
Review: Okay, I must admit. When I first read the back of this book in the bookstore I thought "Nah, not for me" but on a chance I bought it. Its alot deeper than the summary on the back makes it seem, and alot more interesting. I got home that day and from the first page I was engrossed. This review alone should tell you that, I don't remeber taking time to write a reveiw about a book that I only liked a little bit, which is not the case with this. Since that fateful day that I first bought it (probably 6 months to a year ago) I have read it 3-5 more times, and plan to read it again soon. I thoroughly reccommend this to everyone who enjoys a good story, particularily historical fiction fans.

Summary: Flower Reviews...
Review: Recently I've been going through a box of old books my neighbors gave me and I came across this. I finished this in less than one day, and was satisfied with me. Most books make history seem all dull and prim and proper, but this one brought out the troubles of the Revoloution as you don't learn in the classroom. Though some parts I zoned out, it was not boring, like many historic accounts are. This book was an enjoyable read!

Summary: This book is not worth it.
Review: Rinaldi has written many wonderful books. This is not one of them. I'll put it bluntly, Sarah has no secret, she's just a brat. Read the last two chapters and you'll know her stupid secret. Sorry Mrs. Rinaldi, but you've got much better books.

Summary: The Secret of Sara Revere
Review: Sara Revere, the daughter of the famous patriot, Paul Revere recalls the journeys her father had made for the past two years. Historical Significant takes place, such as the Boston tea party and her fathers "famous rides",including Saras wondering whether her fathers new wife, Rachel has been betraying him with another patriot from the Revolutionary War. Ann Rinaldis writing technique of this wonderful story may be confusing at times, but it all adds up in the end. The use of all the incididents that has happened in the past makes the novel very involving and very informative at the same time. It is a great way to take yourself back in the history of the Revolutionary War.
