Summary: A very good book!
Review: Lottery Rose is definately a good book! Its aobut Georgie, a 7 year boy who is constantly abused by his mother and her boyfriend. Georgie is soon taken out of the home and placed in a school for boys run by nuns. There, he learns to trust, love, and read! I recommend this book to kds over 10.

Review: I enjoyed reading the Lottary Rose. I liked the plot and the characters. I found the plot easy to follow and very realistic and interesting. I liked the characters introduced in this book. I liked getting a personal feeling with the characters and knowing a lot about them. I liked the very realistic situations which the book is based on. I highly recomend reading this book.

Review: Georgie goes through such a hard time in this period of his life. He is such a nice and tender person. This book could probably relate to someone who has gone through a similar thing.The ending is really good. Irene Hunt is a very talented writer! If you like books with alot of emotion and feeling this one is for you.

Review: This book captures the feelings of a young boy that is beaten by his mothers boyfriend. This little boy escapes to his own world through a book of flowers. This book is a page turner and I highly recomend it.

Summary: All we need is love
Review: Wow. After reading about all the gruesome things that happened to Georgie,I pitied him and felt grateful that I've had a better life. Georgie was somewhat hateful. But after all the abuse he received,who could blame him? The best part was when he went to the Catholic boys' school and experienced the healing power of love. I hated the catastrophe at the end,though. The book was sad enough! Why add another needless tragedy? Still,some good came out of it. Overall,I liked this book,and I'm sure you will too if you give it a try.

Review: A wonderful book. I feel for Georgie that he has to live his life in fear of his mother and her boyfriend, yet I can't feel sorry for him when he is so mean to his 1st grade teacher. Overall, I think that this is a wonderful book!

Review: Geogie Burgess, a young child beaten by his mother and her boyfriend is sent to a school for boys after winning a prize rosebush. He gives the bush love like he never had and soon makes friends at the school. He finds his talents and new friends and a loving environment,but most of all he is finally happy and safe!
