Review: She has seemingly done everything else so why not write a novel? Well I'll tell you why not, because this story was badly written. The plot (granted, though quite different) has too many similarities to her actual life for my taste. It doesn't seem like it took an awful lot to write this. I hope, if there is another novel writen, that Britney can take time out of her busy schedule to write a real book.

Review: To be totally honest i bought the book because I am a huge Britney fan, so i wasnt expecting anything that outstanding from the book...so I was totally suprised when "A Mothers Gift" turned out to be such a wonderful novel. I couldnt put the book down, it had a great story. I am not the kind of person to cry over a book-but this story really touched me! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a truly enjoyable story!!!

Review: Toping the heart filled book written by Britney & Lynne Spears comes the heart filled fictional novel "A mothers Gift". Everyone has goals in life and just about everyone from girl to boy, 12 to 85 can relate to this novel. A well written courage filled book is a good way of suming up this book. No family should be without it. Proving that dreams come true lynne and Britney write this book based upon their lives. This is just to show the talent possesed in the Spears family. I give the book a perfect 5!

Review: Phenomenal Britney Spears did it again! From her powerful, mature voice to her hot, catchy songs to her energetic dance moves to her artistic talent of writing, Britney undoubtedly is a one hit wonder! "A Mother's Gift" is an excellent novel! It's a masterpice Britney Spears fans would enjoy. It's a novel that has "significant messages" for kids of today, has an amazing plot, creative story line, descriptive characters, .....it's a classic every one would enjoy!

Summary: You must read this book!!! I give it five stars!!!
Review: I bought this book on it's first day of release because I had heard about it so much in magazines, that I was just dying to read it. It took me a total of a day and a half to finish the whole book, and let me tell you Britney and her mom have met all of the expectations that I had of this book. I have never read a book with such and interesting plot. And the thought of the mysterious ending makes you want to continue reading with stopping. Britney really shows off how very talented she is as an author in writing this book. And I am almost certain that everyone can relate to at least one of the characters in this book, because it does seem as if the story is based on a true life event. It is a very down to earth story that in the end has a lesson for everyone to learn, and many will be impressed by Holly's struggles, achievements, and determination in the story. I gave it five stars because it is really one of the best books that I have ever read!

Summary: This was an awesome book!
Review: My sister and I being 15, and the reading level of the book being for 9 to 12 year olds, it was a very easy read. I finished it 2 hours after I opened it, because I could not put it down. Although some might think it is sickly sweet and unrealistic, I enjoyed reading about Holly Faye and her struggles. Besides, how unrealistic could it be? It seems like it was roughly based on Britney's life.Britney did come from a small town, and went to the proffesional childrens school in NY, like the Haverty performing arts school in the book, and probably didn't fit in at first. I thought for a book written by Britney and her mom it was extremely well done. It gives girls something nice to read, and keeps them from the tv for a few hours. I recommend getting the book for boys and girls, especially Britney Fans!

Review: I liked this book very much. Although the plot itself was good, the Spears' team needs a little work with their descriptive imagery. They didn't use a lot of creative words to describe the scene, though some good ones were randomly thrown in. The book itself is very good, but beware cheesy mushy moments. I preffered the times when Holly's mother embaressed her. Those were realistic. It is a struggle-at the end all better story. It did keep me interested throughout, even if the plot was unoriginal. It is a teen book, because they talk about teen issues such as drinking and the likes. If you are a fan of Britney's, or just ant a fun book to read,then A Mother's Gift is the thing.

Summary: Poor little rich girl...
Review: I bought 'A Mother's Gift' because the summery at the back appied to me, not because of Britney Spears' name on the front, shared with her mother. I read the book in one night and put it down feeling somewhat unsatisfied. The ending was indeed a bit of a surprise but didn't really add much to the book. The whole story line is already so cotton candy sweet, dripping with pure sugar that it's enough to make you ill. The ending only added to the sweetness and it just made me groan.

This book, although well written, has no original plot. Holly and her mother Wanda (the one with the ugly birthmark on her face) are poor, Holly wins a scholarship, feels ashamed of her mother, mother reveals secret, daughter forgives mother, both live happily ever after. Sound familar? Not only is the book screaming "And the moral of this story is" at you with every turn of the page, but Holly is so perfect that no teenager could really relate to this perfect fourteen-year-old with her boyfriend back home (whom she has only gone as far as to kiss), and who help her rich friend get her life back on track. See what I mean about the whole sugar-sweetness story line?

Review: Wow!! i just bought this book today, and i am already half way through it. its an incredible story of a mother and daughter's struggle. Alot of people will think this is a true life story of Britney, but it's a complete work of fiction. I completely respect Britney and her mother for writing such a down to earth novel.
